Week Ahead – Monday, September 24th through Sunday, September 30th

Happy Sunday everyone and Mabon/Autumn Equinox blessings! We are into the last full week of September now, and the days are slowly getting shorter. We have an abundance of planets that are in action-oriented signs right now (Aries, Libra, and Capricorn). This will help us accomplish a great deal, but we need to be careful of over-committing ourselves. We have the Sun moving into Libra today and the Moon is still in Pisces, so we not have the mental focus we need for any projects that require real focus. Today is one of those days that you’re better off easing into. So, without further ado, let’s see what this week has in store for us!
Our Monday begins with an early morning Void of Course Moon that will be with us until early tomorrow morning. Mercury will be sextile the Lunar North Node today as well. Mercury represents our rational mind. Its the planet of everyday communication and expression. It signifies our curiosity and what areas of life we find stimulating and appealing on a mental level. The Lunar North Node symbolizes a forward motion point in our lives, what our overall lesson is. Some believe it shows us our destiny. When Mercury interacts with either of the Nodes, it promises a highlight on movement. In this case, it focuses on how we communicate and plan our destiny. If you have something you need to tell the world, now is the time to do it!
In the wee hours of the morning, the Moon moves into Aries, as well as beginning its Full lunation. It’s a Harvest Full Moon and one where we re-balance our individual needs and our relationship needs. We also have a challenging square between the Sun and Saturn going on. Chiron is also aligned with this Full Moon, so healing our emotions or helping others with their emotional well-being is supported. The Sun’s transits to planets in a person’s natal chart represents brief influences that usually last around a day. So today will highlight those areas where we need to accept our own limitations, boundaries, and expectations. There are positives with this transit too if we take the time to understand the nature of the situation. For example, an area of our lives may be pruned back in order to keep things under better control, or as a way to make room for something new to grow. This is the kind of day/transit that usually has a very important lesson for us to learn about ourselves.
Wednesday morning is a quiet one for us, with a Void of Course Moon just before noon. Later in the day, Mars will be making an opposition to the Lunar North Node. This transit has a loner vibe, where we choose to act on our own decisions regardless of what others may think. It may feel like our desires and actions are out of harmony with the social norms, and there is a tendency to feel a bit frustrated or angry. So we need to take care that we don’t lash out at others for no apparent reason, and vice versa. You may need to give some people a wider birth just now.
Thursday morning sees the Moon moving into earthy Taurus, where we feel the tension of the past few days start to drop away. People tend to become calmer and peaceful. We feel secure and stable. There is also this tendency for our thoughts and reactions to slow down, making us feel a bit slow in getting ourselves going. This is the best time for taking care of the home, running errands, restocking supplies and tending to routine maintenance. Its best to hold off on important business now, as well as the signing of contracts or important papers, because we may make mistakes due to a slowed down reaction and thinking process. We have the Sun in a sextile with the Lunar North Node, which allows us to work in harmony within our social conditions. It’s a good energy for creative fields such as drama, music, art and culture. We also have a trine between the Sun and Mars, where we feel its easier to lead rather than follow. It boosts our confidence levels and our instincts will feel more in tune today. Friday is a quiet day with a Void of Course Moon taking place just before midnight.
The weekend starts us off with the Moon still Void of Course and then slipping into Gemini in the early afternoon. When the Moon is in Gemini we become active, feel stronger emotional sensitivity and a need for socializing. So its a good energy for the weekend. Get out and explore, meet new people, communicate, and share ideas. Some of us will try to do everything all at once, which later leaves us stuck with unfinished projects and ideas. It is a good time, however, to be on the move, travelling short distances in order to fulfil that need for new impressions, and meeting up with friends and relative. It’s time for experimentation, perhaps mashing up your personal style. You might change your outfit many times, or coax out one of your lesser-known personalities. Watch out for the appearance of the evil twin, who utters things that you don’t really mean, just to say them. There may be no rhyme or reason for behaviour-thoughts-feelings today, and it’s all okay. Sunday afternoon sees the Moon going Void of Course.
