Week Ahead – Monday, June 18th through Sunday, June 24th

Happy Sunday everyone, and Happy Father’s Day to all of you Dads out there! We have a good energy for Father’s Day with the Moon being in paternal Leo right now. This brings an open-hearted, warm, generous and emotional energy. Enjoy your day with those you call Dad, or with the kids that look up to you as theirs :D. We are entering the second half of June now, with the Summer Solstice happening this week. Let’s take a look at what this week will be bringing our way.

Monday

Monday brings us a more complicated energy because we have the Moon moving into Virgo in the morning, giving us a list of tasks that we want to accomplish. At the same time, we have dream planet Neptune in Pisces going retrograde, which is the total opposite of Virgo. Neptune has a strong spiritual energy that just wants to daydream. The good part is that this will start a process of opening up to a higher vision, trusting our intuition at a higher level, and helping us to practice forgiveness (for others and ourselves). Neptune will be retrograde until the end of November.

Tuesday

Tuesday brings a bit more of an enthusiastic vibe because Mercury will be making a harmonious trine with Jupiter. Under this transit we may find ourselves more talkative, filled with more ideas and wanting to share these with others. It’s a really good time for stepping back in order to get a broader overview of projects we are working on, especially business-related ones. We also have love planet, Venus, making a conjunction with the Lunar North Node, which can make us feel more attractive. This can ramp up our magnetism and what we attract might be material abundance, admiration and appreciation from others, or perhaps a sense of well-being that brings you into a more beautiful balance with those around you.

Wednesday

Wednesday brings us a Void of Course Moon just before noon. The Moon will then move into balancing Libra an hour or so after Noon. Creating order is also the focus, not necessarily through tidying or organizing as was the case while the Moon was in Virgo, but rather through pleasing interactions with others and aesthetics in our environment. The Moon in Libra creates this feeling of harmony and calm. We find we more easily connect with people, compromise is more likely and conflict less so. It’s a time when we find it easier to understand and relate to others. We tend to be polite and diplomatic, and would rather avoid arguments. We also have Mercury making a harmonious trine, this time with Neptune, and this means our imagination and intuition will be running high. However, we do need to watch out for the fact that it can be all too easy to allow ourselves to get caught up in fantasizing and yearning about our deepest, hidden wishes. While this is mostly a time for being optimistic, creative, intuitive, and hopeful it is also a smart move to keep at least one foot on terra firma.

Thursday

Thursday is the Summer Solstice and we have the Sun moving into Cancer, so Happy Solar return to all of your Cancerians, and Solstice Blessings everyone! The Summer Solstice is a major turning point of the year in which we grow more conscious of our roots and the family patterns that continue to shape our lives. The point, however, is not to reinforce fearful habits by constructing barriers to the world. It is, rather, a reminder to give birth to ourselves, to connect the past and present and create a future appropriate for tomorrow instead of clinging to the limits of yesterday. We also have an opposition between Venus and Mars today, and this is a transit that increases sexual tension and physical desires. Those who are in a healthy relationship could find that this tension can be released with heightened stimulation and enjoyment. However, a relationship that is already tense may see tempers flare and boil over because as a result of selfishness or wandering eyes. A positive way to help release this build up of tension and frustration is through physical or creative outlets, such as dance or vigorous exercise.

Friday

Friday brings some pleasant energies our way that are great for social activities with individuals or small groups in an intimate setting. We have a Void of Course Moon in the wee hours of the morning, which will be with us until later in the evening when the Moon moves into Scorpio, which urges us to uncover our own power, and it’s an excellent time to rid ourselves of old fears and limiting habits. It can be an intimate and passionate time, as well as a time where we tend to be more drawn towards the darker side of ourselves. Done wisely, we can get to the source of issues and create the seeds of new transformation to happen.

WEEKEND

Saturday/Sunday

Saturday starts off with a bit of an uncomfortable feeling but this will improve as the day moves forward. We have an opposition between Mercury and Pluto, where we can see power struggles erupt. It’s a transit that can manifest as a compulsive need to talk, question, or even badger others, or you may feel you are being given the third degree. Now is not the time to become obsessive about the small details or for getting into unproductive power struggles. We need to keep in mind that decisions made under this transits effect are not going to be objective ones, so it may be better to hold off on any important decisions. We also have a square between the Sun and Chiron going on. When these two planets come together in a challenged position we tend to find our patience and confidence feeling a bit strained because we feel a need to break free of chronic constraints. Motivation and self-esteem can drop as well, but remember we have that energy from the Sun and Uranus to help us out here too. This sextile will help bring us out of that uncomfortable feeling.  This is a fun transit where we become more open to being spontaneous and others seem to appreciate our quirkiness a bit more. The key to this transit is flexibility! Sunday afternoon brings us another Void of Course Moon period that will last until Monday.
