Week Ahead – Monday, March 23rd through Sunday, March 29th

Happy Sunday everyone! I hope you are all keeping well and safe with the craziness of Covid-19 going on in the world. It’s been an unnerving and somewhat frightening couple of weeks, with so many changes to how we live our lives happening. We have been seeing this theme of big changes to the way of life as we know it and this seems to be no exception. One thing we need to keep in mind is to not fall into fear-related thinking. Fear is what makes us do irrational things, like panic buying and hoarding. Now, more than ever, we need to all work together, look out for each other, and hopefully, we will get through this soon.

Now, a lot of astrology folk have pointed out a link between Neptune and viruses (as in viruses are ruled by Neptune). Jupiter will begin the first of 3 conjunctions on April 4th, the second on June 30th, and the third on November 12th. Jupiter is known to make things bigger, and we have been seeing this as the virus has gone global. The theory of a lot of astrologers is that 1) this virus can go on all year into November or 2) the virus gets bigger during the April 4th transit, we get it under control by June 30th’s pass, and by November things start to get back to normal. I’m hoping for the latter. Let’s have a look at what this week will bring our way.

Mid-afternoon Monday sees the Moon going Void of Course. We also have Venus and Neptune coming together today, which opens our artistic and creative flow, something we can tap into while we are all self-isolating. We also have Mars and Pluto in conjunction, which is a powerful and somewhat volatile combination. It can help with taking decisive action, and we may see this globally as more steps are taking to control the pandemic. It also draws us to want to have a sense of purpose, so some of you may decide to join up with groups who are helping those who are vulnerable. The downside to this transit is that it can bring out a bit of violence and restlessness, with some wanting to assert control because they feel they have none. So we need to watch this one carefully.

The Sun and North Lunar Node come together in the early hours of the morning. This can be a bit challenging as we find ourselves faced with stress-causing dilemmas. It can make us feel as if our life’s goals have come off course and, for many, it has. However, the positive side here is that it forces us to look at things in a different way and requires us to be flexible while we take this short detour. This evening is our Aries New Moon, which is usually a symbol for new beginnings. It can bring us all a fresh bout of courage and perseverance to push forward as we let go of the old way of doing things for now.

Today brings us a conjunction between the Sun and Chiron, which turns our focus towards our own healing needs. Some may feel a drain in energy levels, and some may have a renewed sense of motivation, all focused on building up our physical and health defences. It’s also about making lifestyle changes, and this may impact those of you who tend to thrive on exercise. Since gyms and rec centres are closed, you have to find new ways to keep up your fitness regimes. Just remember to rest when you need to and try to be active when you can.

In the early hours of the morning, the Moon will go Void of Course until the early afternoon. It then moves into earthy Taurus, where we focus on the things that make us feel secure and stable.
This is the best time for taking care of the home, running errands, restocking supplies and tending to routine maintenance as best as we can. Hopefully, some sense of normality will be restored that lets us do those things. On the negative side, we may see a burst of hoarding and panic buying for a couple of days because everyone’s sense of stability and not having “enough” is a bit skewed. Try to resist those urges!

Saturday continues with our Taurus Moon energy. We also have a trine between Venus and Jupiter today. which focuses on lending and gaining support from others. We may also feel like life is giving us a bit of a break, so I’m hoping this is where we start seeing things levelling out a bit more. The Moon goes Void of Course just before midnight and remains that way until Noon on Sunday. The Moon then moves into Gemini, where the focus turns to communication. It may be that we get more solid information on the Pandemic and how its affecting things. We may also find ourselves wanting to communicate our ideas and tips for getting through this time with others. We also have a trine between Venus and Pluto later in the day, which is a good energy for deepening relationships.
