Week Ahead – Monday, February 24th through Sunday, March 1st

Happy Sunday everyone! We are into the last week of this month, Mercury has gone retrograde and we have a Pisces New Moon nearly aligned with it today. So it’s a good time to step back from the world and connect to our higher selves, to see if we feel like our current path needs any adjustments. We also have quite a few planets in adaptive and action signs, so we’ll feel like things are shifting as we move forward right now. We have Venus challenging us to move along our path at a much faster rate, and Jupiter urging us to be cautious as we expand. What is really important right now is for us to stay open to new possibilities while remaining focused on what is working for us. It may feel like a bit of a balancing act at times. Now, let’s have a look at what this week has in store for us!

Monday’s planetary aspects have a nice energy, with the Pisces Moon still in play and a sextile between the Sun and Mars that will help give us the energy, enthusiasm, and power we need to fuel our ambitions. It’s a good transit for making progress with our goals but we also need to take care of taking risks. The Moon will go Void of Course mid-afternoon on Tuesday and then move into Aries in the early evening. Some of you may find it hard to settle down to sleep Tuesday night and it’s important to find ways to burn off any excess Aries energy through exercise or other activities. Also happening on Tuesday are a trine between the Sun and North Lunar Node, and an opposition between Mars and the North Lunar Node. Both help to bring us a sense of confidence and determination when it comes to achieving our goals. We just need to be careful to not force situations if they aren’t ready to move forward.

Today we have a conjunction between the Sun and retrograde Mercury, which can feel like a turning point for us in how we communicate and process the information that is coming to us at this time. Some may not notice anything more than a subtle shift in consciousness. Others may feel their mental state becomes a bit muddy as the focus goes within to unconscious part of ourselves, or we may become suddenly lucid and clear for this short transit. We also have a sextile between Mercury and Mars, which helps us to dig down to find the courage we need to speak out minds and stand up for ourselves. lastly, we have a trine between Mercury and the North Lunar Node, which helps bring us a fresher awareness that can get us taking the next step or two on our path.

Thursday is a quiet one in the skies for us. As we move into the early hours of Friday morning, the Moon will go Void of Course for a few hours and then move into earthy Taurus. This sets a tone for the weekend that supports communication and exploring things that are new or not part of our routine activities. Taurus wants to do something productive and then reward itself. We also have a challenging square between Venus and Pluto, which can make interactions and relationships feel a bit deeper and intense. Mainly, this transit can shed light on those problem areas in our lives that need to go through a bit of a transformative process in order to heal.

On Saturday, we have a sextile between Mercury and Uranus, which urge us to connect with unique and different people. It’s a good time for projects and activities that are creative and stimulating. For those who are used to a predictable lifestyle, you may suddenly feel inspired to do something new, out of character, or to experiment with new ideas. The Moon goes Void of Course mid-afternoon on Sunday, before slipping into Gemini in the evening. Under Gemini’s influence, our basic instinct is to communicate, think, and share ideas. We are motivated by a desire for variety and by an instinctive curiosity. The Moon in Gemini is light-hearted, breezy, and curious, but it can also be restless and fickle. It is a good time, however, to be on the move, travelling short distances in order to fulfil that need for new impressions, and meeting up with friends and relative.
