Week Ahead – Monday, March 30th through Sunday, April 5th

  • Posted on March 29, 2020 at 7:30 am

Happy Sunday everyone. I hope this update finds you safe and well. A lot has changed since last Sunday, with most of us in lockdown and self-isolation. It’s definitely a worrying time for many and I know a lot of us are feeling a bit stir crazy. My heart goes out to all of those who have fallen ill or who have loved ones who have fallen ill. It’s so important to keep ourselves safe both physically and mentally. Many of my readers have started journals or tapped into their creative side to liven up self-isolation. The best we can do is to take things one day at a time and look after our well-being at this trying time. Today, we are under the influence of a Gemini Moon, so it’s a good one fore short activities and tasks, as well as communicating via any means we have, such as video chats and phone calls. Let’s see what this week has in store for us.

MONDAY/TUESDAY

Today, the Moon will go Void of Course mid-afternoon, making it less beneficial for starting anything important or making big decisions. Mars shifts into Aquarius today as well, which can make us feel less motivated about going after our traditional goals but more drawn towards spiritual and emotional goals. Tuesday afternoon sees the Moon shifting into Cancer, where we are drawn towards the things and people that make us feel safe and nurtured. A lot of us may find ourselves feeling more emotional today given the current state of things. Try to reach out to those in your inner circle and be kind to yourselves. We also have Mars and Saturn coming together today, which is a bit of a tricky transit because we are challenged to discipline ourselves and apply our energy in organized and practical ways, think ahead and be cautious of the small details. The problem is….we don’t feel like doing that!

WEDNESDAY/THURSDAY

Wednesday is a quiet one in the skies. On Thursday afternoon the Moon will go Void of Course for a few hours before it moves into heart opening Leo in the evening. Leo makes us feel more energetic and optimistic. We feel like we can do anything! It also craves interaction and attention, so many of us may feel a bit down because we haven’t been able to socialize or be seen. This is a good time for tapping into our inner child though and find new ways to lift our mood and the moods of others.

FRIDAY

Venus enters Gemini today. This makes a great time for creating strategies for improvement in those areas of our life that Venus controls: love, money, and resources. Exchanging ideas is also great under this aspect of Venus. There is a downside to Venus in Gemini though, and that is fickleness and a desire for some to try and control others. The Moon will go Void of Course in the late evening.

WEEKEND

Saturday begins with the Moon still in its Void of Course phase, which will last until the late evening. We have Mercury in a conjunction with Neptune, which stimulates our intuitive creativity. Our creativity tends to flow better, dreams become more vivid and lucid, and experiences become more likely. For those who are more sensitive to this transits’ energies, a need for finding quiet time to meditate or just be alone with our thoughts could be strong. We also have a trine between Venus and Saturn, which brings our focus towards the stability or our relationships and finances. In the late evening, the Moon moves into practical Virgo, which means the next couple of days are good for tackling practical tasks, such as reorganizing and restocking.

On Sunday, we have a conjunction between Jupiter and Pluto, which challenges us to embrace and accept the best and worst in ourselves. This is a rare transit that only happens every 12 to 13 years. It’s also the first of 3 passes for this transit. So, for 1-2 weeks before and after this date, it’s good to observe the places in our lives, or in the world around us, where fears and worries may become blown out of proportion.

Week Ahead – Monday, March 23rd through Sunday, March 29th

  • Posted on March 22, 2020 at 7:30 am

Happy Sunday everyone! I hope you are all keeping well and safe with the craziness of Covid-19 going on in the world. It’s been an unnerving and somewhat frightening couple of weeks, with so many changes to how we live our lives happening. We have been seeing this theme of big changes to the way of life as we know it and this seems to be no exception. One thing we need to keep in mind is to not fall into fear-related thinking. Fear is what makes us do irrational things, like panic buying and hoarding. Now, more than ever, we need to all work together, look out for each other, and hopefully, we will get through this soon.

Now, a lot of astrology folk have pointed out a link between Neptune and viruses (as in viruses are ruled by Neptune). Jupiter will begin the first of 3 conjunctions on April 4th, the second on June 30th, and the third on November 12th. Jupiter is known to make things bigger, and we have been seeing this as the virus has gone global. The theory of a lot of astrologers is that 1) this virus can go on all year into November or 2) the virus gets bigger during the April 4th transit, we get it under control by June 30th’s pass, and by November things start to get back to normal. I’m hoping for the latter. Let’s have a look at what this week will bring our way.

MONDAY

Mid-afternoon Monday sees the Moon going Void of Course. We also have Venus and Neptune coming together today, which opens our artistic and creative flow, something we can tap into while we are all self-isolating. We also have Mars and Pluto in conjunction, which is a powerful and somewhat volatile combination. It can help with taking decisive action, and we may see this globally as more steps are taking to control the pandemic. It also draws us to want to have a sense of purpose, so some of you may decide to join up with groups who are helping those who are vulnerable. The downside to this transit is that it can bring out a bit of violence and restlessness, with some wanting to assert control because they feel they have none. So we need to watch this one carefully.

TUESDAY

The Sun and North Lunar Node come together in the early hours of the morning. This can be a bit challenging as we find ourselves faced with stress-causing dilemmas. It can make us feel as if our life’s goals have come off course and, for many, it has. However, the positive side here is that it forces us to look at things in a different way and requires us to be flexible while we take this short detour. This evening is our Aries New Moon, which is usually a symbol for new beginnings. It can bring us all a fresh bout of courage and perseverance to push forward as we let go of the old way of doing things for now.

WEDNESDAY

Today brings us a conjunction between the Sun and Chiron, which turns our focus towards our own healing needs. Some may feel a drain in energy levels, and some may have a renewed sense of motivation, all focused on building up our physical and health defences. It’s also about making lifestyle changes, and this may impact those of you who tend to thrive on exercise. Since gyms and rec centres are closed, you have to find new ways to keep up your fitness regimes. Just remember to rest when you need to and try to be active when you can.

THURSDAY/FRIDAY

In the early hours of the morning, the Moon will go Void of Course until the early afternoon. It then moves into earthy Taurus, where we focus on the things that make us feel secure and stable.
This is the best time for taking care of the home, running errands, restocking supplies and tending to routine maintenance as best as we can. Hopefully, some sense of normality will be restored that lets us do those things. On the negative side, we may see a burst of hoarding and panic buying for a couple of days because everyone’s sense of stability and not having “enough” is a bit skewed. Try to resist those urges!

WEEKEND

Saturday continues with our Taurus Moon energy. We also have a trine between Venus and Jupiter today. which focuses on lending and gaining support from others. We may also feel like life is giving us a bit of a break, so I’m hoping this is where we start seeing things levelling out a bit more. The Moon goes Void of Course just before midnight and remains that way until Noon on Sunday. The Moon then moves into Gemini, where the focus turns to communication. It may be that we get more solid information on the Pandemic and how its affecting things. We may also find ourselves wanting to communicate our ideas and tips for getting through this time with others. We also have a trine between Venus and Pluto later in the day, which is a good energy for deepening relationships.

Week Ahead – Monday, March 16th through Sunday, March 22nd

  • Posted on March 15, 2020 at 7:30 am

Happy Sunday everyone! We are already halfway through this month with the Spring Equinox a few days away. We have Mercury moving back into Pisces this week after a brief stay in Aquarius in its retrograde cycle. This is a good time for sorting through any new ideas that we may have had so we can decide which of these we want to work on and which need to be released. Today, we have that upbeat and adventurous energy from a Sagittarius Moon, so try to get out and explore if you can. Let’s see what the rest of this week has in store for us.

MONDAY/TUESDAY

As we begin our morning on Monday, the Moon will go Void of Course and remain that way until the later afternoon, when it shifts into the more serious sign of Capricorn. This will make for some subdued energy for the next couple of days. As mentioned above, Mercury moves back into Pisces today, where we become more in tune with emotions and can add a creative flair to how we communicate those emotions and ideas. Tuesday is a quiet one in the skies for St. Patrick’s Day. We are still under the effects of the Capricorn Moon though, so celebrations may be a bit more subdued than usual.

WEDNESDAY/THURSDAY

Wednesday continues with the energies that began at the start of this week. We won’t see a change until Thursday when the Moon briefly goes Void of Course in the very early hours of the morning. It then shifts into Aquarius for the Spring Equinox. We have a lot of planets clustered in 1/3 of the sky right now. With this concentration of energies, the next three months will be best used by focusing our energy on those projects and activities that really call to us. It’s not a good time for trying to tackle the things that need to be done that our hearts aren’t into right now. Consolidate your energy so it’s not being scattered and unfocused. We have the Sun coming together with Saturn today, which can help us to take care of loose ends. There is also a sextile between Uranus and the North Lunar Node later in the day, which can draw us to taking on a new perspective regarding our life path.

FRIDAY

As we begin our morning, the Moon will go Void of Course and remain that way until we hit the weekend. The Sun moves into Aries today though. Happy Solar Return to all of you Aries’ out there! With this Sun in Aries, we feel a pull towards wanting new experiences and making changes. It’s a good energy for starting new projects because we have that fiery passion we need to get things going. Mars and Jupiter come together today, which adds to that feeling of wanting to take action and doing it in a big way.

WEEKEND

As we start off on Saturday, Mercury aligns with the North Lunar Node, which can give us a fresher awareness regarding our life’s path. By Noon, the Moon moves into Pisces to bring us a dreamy type of vibe. It’s a good energy for creative projects and for nourishing the imagination. On Sunday, boundary-setting Saturn moves into Aquarius, which doesn’t like boundaries. We will feel that change is in the air now as Saturn turns its sights outwards. We also have Mercury aligning with Uranus again to boost the social aspect of our lives. We are drawn to making connections now, especially with those who are much different to ourselves.

Week Ahead – Monday, March 9th through Sunday, March 15th

  • Posted on March 8, 2020 at 7:30 am

Happy Sunday everyone! If you are in the U.S., make sure you’ve turned those clocks ahead one hour for daylight savings! We have the Sun aligning with Neptune today, so you may want to pay attention to your dreams. We have a visionary vibe that opens us up to a higher view of the Universe, and a kind of spaced-out vibe that can make us forget basic tasks..like turning your clocks ahead 😉 We also have Venus aligning with Uranus, making it a good time for sharing with friends and taking part in some group activities. Now, let’s see what this week has in store for us!

MONDAY

Today is our Virgo Super Full Moon. A Super Moon is when the Moon gets its closest to the earth in its orbit, making the Moon look a bit larger than normal. The power of this type of Moon is more intense. Full Moons are a time when things seem more illuminated. Where the New Moon gives us the opportunity to set our intentions in the different aspects of our lives, the Full Moon asks us to stand still for a moment and look at what has come to fruition since the dark moon. Under Virgo, it can be a healing and creative time. We also have 7 planets in earth signs now, so this is a good time for tackling practical projects.

TUESDAY

Our morning begins with a brief Void of Course Moon that then moves into Libra mid-morning. This social energy will be with us for the next couple of days and makes it a great time for meeting up with friends. We also have Mercury turning direct today. Keep in mind that situations will still feel a bit slow going until Mercury has picked up speed and resumes its normal momentum. It’s akin to feeling like we are coming out of a fog in some instances.

WEDNESDAY

Today we have a sextile between the Sun and Jupiter, adding to that social and optimistic vibe we have going on. We tend to feel a bit clearer regarding our plans during this transit and some feel this is an energy that makes them feel lucky as things seem to fall into place in a positive way. Some may feel a bit restless under this brief transit but finding activities to satisfy our wandering minds shouldn’t be too hard.

THURSDAY/FRIDAY

Our morning begins with a very brief Void of Course Moon that slips into brooding Scorpio as we start our day. Scorpio’s energy can feel a bit intense for some and have you feeling like withdrawing to delve deeper into issues going on in your life. The Moon in Scorpio urges us to uncover our own power, and it’s an excellent time to rid ourselves of old fears and limiting habits. It can be an intimate and passionate time. This energy continues into Friday and the early hours of Saturday.

WEEKEND

Saturday begins with a brief Void of Course Moon mid-morning, before giving way to a more upbeat Sagittarius Moon before noon. It’s an energetic energy that is great for getting out in nature or going to a party. When the Moon is in Sagittarius our focus turns from inner soul searching to exploring the world around us. This lunar mood is very adventurous, active and restless for exploration. We want to experience life first hand. we want to get outdoors, see the sights, connect with nature, go places we haven’t been before.

We also have a sextile between Mars and Neptune, and the Sun and Pluto today. The Mars/Neptune transit stimulates our compassion and intuition, whereas the Sun/Pluto transit boosts our levels of determination and is good for situations where we need to make a good impression. Sunday will be a quiet one in skies for us, so take some time to relax when you can and tackle those practical projects.

Week Ahead – Monday, March 2nd through Sunday, March 8th

  • Posted on March 1, 2020 at 7:30 am

Happy Sunday everyone and welcome to the first day of March! You wouldn’t know that Spring is just a couple of weeks away with the weather we’ve been having. Today we have some Gemini Moon energy in play, making it a good time for communicating in various ways. For March, we still have Mercury retrograde until the 9th. Also, this month’s Full Moon is the first of 3 Super Moons we will be experiencing. Venus will be moving into her favourite sign of Taurus this week, ramping up the already abundant earth element energy, and we have Saturn shifting between two signs as it starts it’s retrograde phase this month. Now, let’s see what this week has in store for us!

MONDAY/TUESDAY

Monday brings us a quiet start to the week, aside from the energy from the talkative Gemini Moon. This is a good day for short calls and projects that can be done quickly. On Tuesday, Venus and Saturn come together in a challenging square, and this is one where we do not want to push the boundaries of authority or force any relationship issues. Some of us may feel a bit sluggish as we try to get ourselves going in the morning.

WEDNESDAY

In the early hours of the morning, the Moon will briefly go Void of Course before moving into Cancer, where we become homebodies. Cancer brings that instinctive desire for peace and quiet, and we become more sensitive to our inner world. This Moon makes us want to retreat, to refill the well. Mercury moves back into the sign of Aquarius today during it’s continued retrograde cycle. This means it’s time for us to explore new ideas, higher ideals, explore new groups, and get out there and meet nee people. Mercury also comes together with venus later in the day, which makes for some harmonious communication and social connections.

THURSDAY/FRIDAY

Venus moves signs today, into earthy Taurus, where she will remain until April 3rd. Venus in Taurus can help us to manifest our desires and needs. With Taurus, those needs and desires tend to be more tangible, such as manifesting money. Friday morning starts us off with a brief Void of Course Moon. It then moves int heart opening Leo, which encourages fun, creativity and those heart-opening activities as we move into the weekend.

WEEKEND

Saturday keeps the focus on those Leo Moon activities, so get out and mingle! Sunday is Daylight Saving Time for the U.S. so make sure those clocks have gone forward. As we begin our Sunday morning, the Moon goes Void of Course for a bit and then moves into practical Virgo. Sunday will be a good one for tackling those practical tasks, doing some spring cleaning, and decluttering. We have a conjunction between the Sun and Neptune, which can heighten our creativity, and a conjunction between Venus and Uranus, where we feel a need for change on our social, financial, and relationship levels.
