Week Ahead – Monday, February 24th through Sunday, March 1st

  • Posted on February 23, 2020 at 7:30 am

Happy Sunday everyone! We are into the last week of this month, Mercury has gone retrograde and we have a Pisces New Moon nearly aligned with it today. So it’s a good time to step back from the world and connect to our higher selves, to see if we feel like our current path needs any adjustments. We also have quite a few planets in adaptive and action signs, so we’ll feel like things are shifting as we move forward right now. We have Venus challenging us to move along our path at a much faster rate, and Jupiter urging us to be cautious as we expand. What is really important right now is for us to stay open to new possibilities while remaining focused on what is working for us. It may feel like a bit of a balancing act at times. Now, let’s have a look at what this week has in store for us!

Monday’s planetary aspects have a nice energy, with the Pisces Moon still in play and a sextile between the Sun and Mars that will help give us the energy, enthusiasm, and power we need to fuel our ambitions. It’s a good transit for making progress with our goals but we also need to take care of taking risks. The Moon will go Void of Course mid-afternoon on Tuesday and then move into Aries in the early evening. Some of you may find it hard to settle down to sleep Tuesday night and it’s important to find ways to burn off any excess Aries energy through exercise or other activities. Also happening on Tuesday are a trine between the Sun and North Lunar Node, and an opposition between Mars and the North Lunar Node. Both help to bring us a sense of confidence and determination when it comes to achieving our goals. We just need to be careful to not force situations if they aren’t ready to move forward.

Today we have a conjunction between the Sun and retrograde Mercury, which can feel like a turning point for us in how we communicate and process the information that is coming to us at this time. Some may not notice anything more than a subtle shift in consciousness. Others may feel their mental state becomes a bit muddy as the focus goes within to unconscious part of ourselves, or we may become suddenly lucid and clear for this short transit. We also have a sextile between Mercury and Mars, which helps us to dig down to find the courage we need to speak out minds and stand up for ourselves. lastly, we have a trine between Mercury and the North Lunar Node, which helps bring us a fresher awareness that can get us taking the next step or two on our path.

Thursday is a quiet one in the skies for us. As we move into the early hours of Friday morning, the Moon will go Void of Course for a few hours and then move into earthy Taurus. This sets a tone for the weekend that supports communication and exploring things that are new or not part of our routine activities. Taurus wants to do something productive and then reward itself. We also have a challenging square between Venus and Pluto, which can make interactions and relationships feel a bit deeper and intense. Mainly, this transit can shed light on those problem areas in our lives that need to go through a bit of a transformative process in order to heal.

On Saturday, we have a sextile between Mercury and Uranus, which urge us to connect with unique and different people. It’s a good time for projects and activities that are creative and stimulating. For those who are used to a predictable lifestyle, you may suddenly feel inspired to do something new, out of character, or to experiment with new ideas. The Moon goes Void of Course mid-afternoon on Sunday, before slipping into Gemini in the evening. Under Gemini’s influence, our basic instinct is to communicate, think, and share ideas. We are motivated by a desire for variety and by an instinctive curiosity. The Moon in Gemini is light-hearted, breezy, and curious, but it can also be restless and fickle. It is a good time, however, to be on the move, travelling short distances in order to fulfil that need for new impressions, and meeting up with friends and relative.

Week Ahead – Monday, February 17th through Sunday, February 23rd

  • Posted on February 16, 2020 at 7:30 am

Happy Sunday everyone! February has been a wet and wild one for many of us so far. The month is half over already and today, we have Mars moving into Capricorn, setting the tone for the next 6 weeks. The focus is on building for the future and being rewarded for your hard work and solid plans. Just bear in mind that Mercury will be going retrograde on Monday, so leave some room in your planning for any changes that occur along the way. We will also have a lot of Capricorn/Pisces energy coming into play this week, which will let us be open to a higher vision that we can bring down to earth. Now, Let’s see what this week has in store for us.

Today, Mercury begins its Retrograde cycle in Pisces, and this cycle will last until March 9th. For nearly a week before and a week after today, Mercury will be moving at a snail’s pace or pausing entirely. At this time we can experience confusion, intensity, frustration, lots of miscommunication or we may feel we are getting bogged down with any progress we were making. Mercury is retrograde in the sign of Pisces, which puts us in a meditative, dream-like state. This means that, during this transit, analytical or logical thought may not be that easy to achieve. Remember, with Mercury Retrograde we need to stay flexible with our plans and make room for the changes and detours this transit can bring our way.

As we begin our morning, the Moon will briefly go Void of Course, and then shift into Capricorn. There is an increase in formality, strictness and exactitude, with a tendency to reserve and distance. Rules and regulations are dominant. The next couple of days are good for all activities that require extra responsibility and discipline, but you shouldn’t rely on someone’s receptivity or emotional pliability right now.

Happy Solar Return to all of your Pisceans out there. The Sun shifts into the sign of the fish, which rules empathy, selfless love, devotion, and wisdom. Its shadow side rules self-pity, a feeling of being victimized by life, passivity, and elusiveness. This can be a time for turning inward and nurturing our personal inner peace. Our empathy gets ramped up and we seem to be able to connect with others more easily. We can use these next few weeks to cultivate our creative instincts and talents and listening to what our subconscious has been telling us up until now.

The Moon will go Void of Course in the early afternoon and then move into Aquarius in the evening. This makes the next couple of days good for breaking out of our normal routines, getting together with friends, or trying something new. Aquarius is drawn to all that is new and unusual, and this can be a great time for discovering something new that interests you. We also have a sextile between Jupiter and Neptune today, which brings a feeling of harmony and ease and heightens our intuition and imagination. It’s a good transit if you are looking for some creative inspiration.

Mars is active today, as the planet of war mingles with explosive Uranus and the Wounded Healer. We first have a trine between Mars and Uranus, a transit that lasts for about 2 to 3 days. It brings high energy that can be unpredictable, and we may get these short bursts of energy both physically and emotionally. It’s also a time when we may feel more drawn to taking risks and our focus is on the future. We then have a challenging square between Mars and Chiron, which can force us to confront issues around how we get hurt by others and how we can heal. It can feel overwhelming at times, so remember to take breaks to ground yourself.

In the early hours of Saturday morning, the Moon will go Void of Course until early Sunday morning. During Void periods, it’s good for doing some inner work, but not the best time for making decisions. We also have a fun little transit between the Sun and Uranus today, which can bring out our spontaneous and quirky side. It’s a day for humour and being able to break out of those old habits.

Early Sunday morning, the Moon moves into Pisces and begins her New lunation. A New Moon is that it is all about new beginnings that come from a deeper and more spiritual level of our being. It’s a good idea to take time and see where your philosophies don’t measure up to your day to day life. In Pisces, it’s a good time to look at where we may be scattering our energies right now. We also have Venus in a challenging square to Jupiter today, which draws us towards wanting to take part in pleasurable things. It’s an optimistic transit, but we do need to take care that we don’t go overboard with things.

Week Ahead – Monday, February 10th through Sunday, February 16th

  • Posted on February 9, 2020 at 7:30 am

Happy Sunday everyone! I hope you are all staying safe here in the UK with this storm that’s moved in. It’s definitely a wild one so far! Today is a good day for chilling out and resting up with the Moon moving into its quiet Void of Course lunation for a bit, and then moving into Virgo for the next couple of days. It will be a good time for tackling those things on your “to-do” list. Let’s see what this week has in store for us!

Venus and Chiron come together today in a transit that can bring old wounds and unresolved issues around relationships and finances to the surface. We become more aware of where our lives are out of balance and it can potentially bring about some healing in those areas too. We still have that Virgo Moon energy with us as well, which can help with the smaller details and with planning. This theme continues into Tuesday until the early evening when the Moon will go Void of Course for a few hours, and then make its move into balancing Libra just before midnight. This means the next couple of days will have more of a social vibe to it, and it makes a good time for negotiating.

Wednesday is a quiet one in the skies for us. However, we have Mercury now slowing down before it goes retrograde on the 16th. Use the next few days to catch up on emails, calls, and texts. On Thursday, Venus makes a challenging square to the North Lunar Node. This transit can make us more aware of the people in our lives that are not giving us the support and encouragement that we need in relation to our life’s purpose. This isn’t a very long transit, lasting only a few days. So the things we come across may not be major issues. But if something significant does rear its head at this time, it could be a sign that we have something that needs to be looked at more closely. In the late evening, the Moon will go Void of Course.

In the early hours of Friday morning, the Moon shifts into emotionally intense Scorpio. It’s also Valentine’s Day, and we may find that we have conversations now that take us into deeper, and perhaps more vulnerable levels. We do have other aspects that have been in play that will balance things out with a happier tone, allowing you to have a fun Valentine’s Day, whether you are celebrating it with a significant other or with those closest to you.

Saturday still has that Scorpio Moon energy in play, but this changes in the late evening, when the Moon goes Void of Course and things turn quieter. Early Sunday morning, the Moon moves into upbeat Sagittarius, bringing some relief from the intense vibes we had with the Scorpio Moon. It’s a good day for some outdoor activities if the weather is permitting. Mars also enters Capricorn today, where it feels right at home. We may now find the motivation we need to sort any ongoing issues out. Some of us may feel a bit uncomfortable or restricted during this time, and others may go a bit overboard and work too hard. So try to keep things balanced while we are under this transit’s influence.

Week Ahead – Monday, February 3rd through Sunday, February 9th

  • Posted on February 2, 2020 at 7:30 am

Happy Sunday everyone! Here we are in a new month and at the halfway point between the Winter Solstice and the Spring Equinox. February’s energies will be a bit calmer compared to last month’s lunar eclipse that activated the same area of Capricorn as the triple alignment planets: Pluto (death & rebirth), Saturn (restructuring) and Jupiter (expansion of belief systems). Just keep in mind that these 3 life-changing planets will be together closely through this year. Now, let’s see what this first week of February has in store for us!

Just before Noon, the Moon will very briefly (like, for a whole minute) go Void of Course. It then moves into Airy Gemini, where we feel that need to socialize, investigate, and communicate. It brings a quick-witted, but somewhat scattered energy, and we need to be careful that we don’t get off course for the next couple of days. It’s a good time for sharing new ideas and using humour to diffuse serious situations. Watch out for the appearance of the evil twin, who utters things that you don’t really mean, just to say them. There may be no rhyme or reason for behaviour-thoughts-feelings today, and it’s all okay.

Adding to this is communication planet Mercury moving into mystical Pisces, which gives our thinking process a more intuitive and imaginative boost. This can add to that problem of letting ourselves get off course. We also have a sextile going on between Venus and Saturn, which makes it the best time to ask ourselves if a dream of ours that we may have shelved can be put into motion.

Tuesday is a quiet one, but we still have that scattered Gemini energy in play. By mid-afternoon on Wednesday, the Moon will go Void of Course for a few hours and then move into Cancer. We may actually feel the restlessness of the Gemini Moon shift towards that need for peace and quiet that Cancer is known for. Now, the focus turns to family, the home, and the things in our lives we know we can trust and be nurtured by. Mercury will be making a sextile with Uranus today as well, which may make us mentally restless, as well as draw us towards doing something out of character today.

Thursday continues with Cancer’s nurturing and safety yearning energies. Mid-afternoon on Friday, the Moon will once again go Void of Course until the late evening. It then shifts into heart-opening Leo, where we can nurture our inner child and express our true selves. It’s a good time for presentations, celebrations and social events. You might want to leave your weekend open, and let your spontaneous mischievous child inside lead the way. Venus moves into fiery Aries today as well, where we become more assertive with relationships and finances. There’s a spontaneous and impatient energy with Venus in Aries, and we need to be careful about making impulse purchases and decisions in our love life.

Saturday brings a harmonious trine between Mercury and the North Lunar Node, which can help bring us a fresher awareness that helps us to take a few more steps closer to our life purpose. Early Sunday morning, the Moon begins its Full Lunation in Leo. However, it will go Void of Course mid-afternoon and then moves into Virgo just before midnight. Full Moons are a time when things seem more illuminated. Where the New Moon gives us the opportunity to set our intentions in the different aspects of our lives, the Full Moon asks us to stand still for a moment and look at what has come to fruition since the dark moon. With this Leo Full moon, the one person we should be focusing on, and opening our hearts to, is ourselves.

The new week will begin with the Moon in Virgo, where our thoughts turn to practical tasks, getting organized, and paying attention to details. We just need to make sure we don’t get too nit-picky with others at this time.
