Week Ahead – Monday, August 26th through Sunday, September 1st

  • Posted on August 25, 2019 at 7:30 am

Happy Sunday everyone! I hope you are all enjoying the bank holiday here in the UK. It’s our last week in August and September looks like it will be a fairly easy month, with not many big astrological occurrences. This gives us the chance to play catchup and get some projects moving forward. Let’s see what the last week of August has in store for us.

Monday starts us off with a harmonious trine between Venus and Uranus. This spontaneous and liberating energy makes it a great time for meeting new people and enhancing the friendship aspect of all relationships. it’s also great for stepping outside of your normal routine. We just need to be careful of being too impulsive or reckless with both finances and social interactions.

Tuesday brings us a mid-morning Void of Course Moon that will be with us for the entire day and evening. Early Wednesday morning brings the Moon into Leo, where we get an energetic and optimistic vibe flowing. This is an energy that inspires us to express ourselves. We also have a harmonious trine between Mars and Uranus, which has a bit more of an aggressive energy than the Venus/Uranus aspect on Monday. We may find that our energy comes in spurts now and feel more open to taking risks that help our lives change direction. This is a time for focusing on our future and not our past.

Today begins with an early morning Void of Course Moon. We have Mercury moving into Virgo to start things off, joining the Sun, Venus, and Mars. it’s a good energy for cleansing our space and our bodies. it’s also a good time for creating something tangible and looking at what is useful and what is impractical. We also have a trine between the Sun and Uranus later in the day, which adds to that feeling of spontaneity and helps push us to get out of any rut we feel stuck in.

In the wee hours of the morning, the Moon moves into Virgo and also begins its New lunation. Right now we have an abundance of planets in earthy element signs, as well as in zodiac signs that require some adaptability. When we have a strong earth element we feel better when we accomplish things that are tangible. Whether it’s being able to check something off of your To-Do list or finishing something that you can point to and say “I did that!”, it all makes us feel better in the end. Just be flexible to changes when working on these projects because we need to go with the flow of the Universe’s natural energy now. Virgo likes to purify and cleanse, whether it’s our body or our closets.

Saturday morning brings us a Void of Course Moon that will remain until just after midnight. The Moon then moves into Libra on Sunday morning. Libra likes to be sociable, connect with eclectic groups and people, or reconnect with old friends. We have two harmonious trines today as well. The first is between Mercury and Uranus, which brings a mental shift that can have us experiencing unusual ideas, flashes of insight, and seeing unexpected possibilities. Then there is a trine between Venus and Saturn, which tends to bring a feeling of stability in our finances and relationships. It’s a good energy for focusing on creative projects as well.

Week Ahead – Monday, August 19th through Sunday, August 25th

  • Posted on August 18, 2019 at 7:30 am
Happy Sunday everyone. We are in the second half of August now and this week is a pretty easy one for us, with not a lot of action in the skies. However, there is a subtle change in tone that is happening. It may feel like the Universe is telling you that change is coming and you better get some playtime in now or finish any tasks that need to be done before this change happens. Let’s have a look at what this week has in store for us.
The start of the week is under the influence of the Aries Moon, which makes us feel a need for getting physical and moving around. Wednesday is when things change a bit. Early morning Wednesday brings a Void of Course Moon that quickly moves into earthy Taurus. When the Moon moves into Taurus, we feel the tension of the past few days start to drop away. People tend to become calmer and peaceful. We feel secure and stable. There is also this tendency for our thoughts and reactions to slow down, making us feel a bit slow in getting ourselves going. This is the best time for taking care of the home, running errands, restocking supplies and tending to routine maintenance. Its best to hold off on important business now, as well as the signing of contracts or important papers, because we may make mistakes due to a slowed-down reaction and thinking process.
We also have Venus moving into Virgo today, where she will remain until mid-September. This makes for a good, hard-working business combo. On a more personal level, this can help us gain clarity in our relationships. We do need to be careful of being overly critical to the people in our lives though. We have a trine between Mercury and Jupiter in the afternoon, which is great for lunch gatherings and afternoon meeting.
Thursday continues with those earthy Taurus Moon vibes until the late evening, when the Moon goes Void of Course. On Friday, the life-giving Sun moves into Virgo, where our focus shifts to the little details in our lives. This is a good time for focusing on practical concerns and tending to the details of our everyday life. By mid-afternoon on Friday, the Moon moves into Gemini, which makes it a great time for tackling quick projects. However, it’s hot too good for projects that require deep focus. The Moon then moves into Gemini, where we become active, feel stronger emotional sensitivity and a need for socializing. We also have the tendency to fall under influences that can lead to the danger of getting off course and making mistakes. We tend to buy things that we don’t really need, waste time with contacts that are futile and visit unnecessary places and events. Emotions may become amplified but shallow. We may easily meet new people now, however half of the contacts we make will later turn out to be empty. Some of us will try to do everything all at once, which later leaves us stuck with unfinished projects and ideas.
Saturday brings us a conjunction between Venus and Mars, which are both in Virgo at this time. This combo helps us with our external relationships as well as our relationship with the Self. It’s a creative transit to work with and a good time for meeting up with people to share that creative energy. On Sunday morning, the Moon goes Void of Course until the late evening. We then start to feel the restlessness of the Gemini Moon giving way to an instinctive need for peace and quiet as the Moon moves into Cancer. Under Cancer’s influence, people become more sensitive and go deeper into their inner world, which takes on more importance at this time than the outer world. A feeling of belonging and safety is what motivates us under this influence. The Moon feels right at home in the sign of Cancer, as it rules the sign. This Moon position has much healing potential. Although insular by nature, our feelings run deep, making it an ideal time to get in touch with what motivates us. We want roots; we crave a sense of intimate connection that will.

Week Ahead – Monday, August 12th through Sunday, August 18th

  • Posted on August 11, 2019 at 7:30 am

Happy Sunday everyone! It’s been a wild and wet few days here in the UK. I hope everyone is staying warm, dry, and safe. So, for the last week, many of us may have been that a change is on the horizon, and today is that day when change happens. In April, we had a few planets in a triple alignment in Capricorn. Since then, Pluto, Jupiter, and Saturn have all been retrograde. This made a lot of us feel like we were stuck, treading water, or in a big time of transition between the old and incoming new us. Today, we have expansive and optimistic Jupiter moving forward once more. the other two planets will soon follow as we near the end of September. Today is a good indication for us to begin moving forward now with any big projects. We also revolutionary Uranus starting its retrograde cycle that will last until January. In the months ahead, we need to think about how we can set ourselves free, open up to new and innovative concepts and techniques, and improve our skills and technology. Now, let’s see what this week has in store for us.

Today we see revolutionary Uranus start its retrograde cycle in Taurus. Uranus going retrograde is often a turning point in situations involving issues of spontaneity, freedom, breaking free of old patterns, rebellion and expressing your personal uniqueness. It could feel a bit chaotic or erratic at times, or spontaneous and exciting, for up to a week before and after this date as well. Look at where Uranus falls in your Natal Chart to clue you in on where these disruptions will occur. Just before midnight, the Moon will enter its Void of Course lunation.

Today starts off with the Moon still Void of Course, where it will remain until mid-afternoon. It then moves into friendly Aquarius, which moves us to get out and share with others. it’s a good time for trying something that is out of our ordinary routine. On Wednesday, the Sun aligns with Venus, which is a social transit that brings a desire to reach out and connect with others. This transit can also make us feel a bit on the lazy side and self-indulgent side so we need to be careful in how we plan the day. Try to keep it as low key as possible, avoiding filling your schedule with hectic and demanding tasks. Take the time to appreciate the beauty of nature all around you.

Today is our Aquarius Full Moon, which is a good energy for opening our hearts and meeting new people, as well as sharing our higher visions. However, we have an abundance of zodiac signs that are stubborn right now, so we need to avoid “my way or the highway” attitudes and conversations. This is a fixed energy that can help us get through any challenging situations that we are facing. We just need to be careful that we aren’t trying to do everything the hard way.

In the wee hours of the morning, the Moon will be Void of Course briefly and then shift into Pisces. The start of the morning isn’t really a good one for clear thinking, so it may be a good idea to start the day off in a quiet way and leave room in your schedule for any unexpected changes. This is because of a challenging square between Mercury and Uranus that will be happening today. This is a transit that can bring information that shakes things up a bit. We also need to be careful of communication that is reckless or impulsive, with ideas that may bring more problems than they actually solve.

Saturday is a good time for visiting watery places, seeing a movie, or going to a concert due to us still being under the influence of the Pisces Moon. Just before midnight, the Moon will go Void of Course and remain that way until the early evening on Sunday. It then moves into fiery Aries. Some may actually feel this shift more than others. An Aries Moon tends to bring conflict more than most times, with emotional tensions growing, people becoming short-tempered and impulsive. Some may show a readiness and fearlessness to act in an extreme situation. Even the sweetest tempered person can become a bit mean under this moon. However, it becomes easier to shake old problem and the weight of tiresome responsibility. We want to free ourselves from everything that bothers us and makes our lives feel uneasy.

We also have aggressive Mars moving into hard-working Virgo today. This is a time for taking action to manifest our needs and desires. Mars will be in Virgo until the start of October, and Venus will be joining Mars in Virgo in a week. So this is the time for getting organized and producing results. There is a tendency to nitpick however and that can be irritating to some.

Week Ahead – Monday, August 5th through Sunday, August 11th

  • Posted on August 4, 2019 at 7:30 am

Happy Sunday everyone! I hope you are all enjoying your weekend. We’re into our first full week of August and for the next two weeks, we will have a playful and creative energy to work with. Mercury has just turned direct, so things in the area of communication should start to pick up the pace. Jupiter will be ending its retrograde cycle on the 11th, and Uranus begins its retrograde cycle, which will last until January 2020. Jupiter is linked to our belief system and is the planet helps us to move on to the next level. Uranus’s retrograde cycle will be shaking us up in order to set us free and will help us to be open to new possibilities. Towards the end of the month, we will have both Venus and Mars in Virgo, which brings us a wake-up call that tells us the summer season is over for the northern hemisphere and its time to start making those plans to get organized for the coming autumn months. Today we the Moon in Libra, which makes it a good time for socializing. Let’s take a look at what this week has in store for us.

Monday continues with the balancing Libra Moon energy, making it a good day for connecting with others and working on group orientated projects. Early Tuesday morning the Moon will be Void of Course until the late afternoon. It then shifts into brooding Scorpio, where we dive into those deep emotional waters. We need to be careful that we don’t get swept away by mood swings, irritability, hysteria. and any sudden impulses for quick change.

The next two days bring quite a powerful energy. We have the Sun and Venu both harmonizing with expansive Jupiter. Wednesday sees the Sun in a trine with Jupiter, which the ancients have believed is a lucky combination. We feel more able to work in harmony with our environment under this transits energy. Thursday brings us a trine between Venus and Jupiter, which helps in making us feel that we are getting a break in our lives for the better. All of these energies are a really nice combo, so make sure to take advantage of it. Mid-afternoon on Thursday brings us a Void of Course Moon, which will then move into optimistic Sagittarius late Thursday night.

Today we have that upbeat and optimistic Sagittarian energy to work with. It’s a good time for getting out in nature or having a party. This vibe will run into the weekend as well. This lunar mood is very adventurous, active and restless for exploration. We want to experience life first hand. we want to get outdoors, see the sights, connect with nature, go places we haven’t been before. It does, however, put us in a risk-taking mood. A need to be in motion makes us very restless if we get bogged down with mundane chores. It’s a good time for speaking our truth, saying it like it is, but we also need to be careful that our words don’t come out with blunt force. The best way to enjoy and us this lunar energy is to keep it light and upbeat.

Saturday continues with that upbeat Sagittarius Moon energy, which will be with us until the early evening. The Moon will then go Void of Course for the remainder of the night. Sunday morning sees the Moon shift into the more structured sign of Capricorn, where we tend to be more practical and logical, as well as more demanding and less sensitive to others and ourselves. This can be a very sober influence–even a depressing one. However, it can also be a productive time when we look reality in the face. We have communications planet Mercury moving into Leo today as well. With Mercury in Leo our thinking, creativity, and self-expression become more confident and grand. For the next month, our focus is on the goal–and the grander a goal the better!

Jupiter ends its retrograde cycle today as well. For up to a week before and after this date, you may feel a surge of idealism, inspiration and confidence. While Jupiter has been retrograde, we have been exploring and developing our deeper qualities of beliefs, knowledge, spirituality, faith, and confidence. For the next 3 months, we can start to apply and integrate what we have learned over the past 4 months. This can be an uplifting turning point.
