Week Ahead – Monday, May 28th through Sunday, June 3rd

  • Posted on May 27, 2018 at 7:30 am
Happy Sunday everyone and Happy Memorial Day in the USA! This is our last week of May already and June looks like it will be a pretty easy month astrologically. It’s a fairly balanced day for us with a nice social energy, so try to get out and socialize a bit if you can. Meeting new people or hanging out with those you can have all types of conversations with is the way to go. Let’s see what this week has in store for us now.

Monday

Monday brings us an early evening Void of Course Moon that will move into Sagittarius just before midnight. The next couple of days will see an increase in our optimism, generosity and openness, as well as giving us a desire to share our experiences and advice. Its a good energy for large-scale plans but not so great for anything that requires attention to detail. We tend to become a bit more orderly and calm, are ready to follow routines and rules and have a need for giving and receiving advice and recommendations. We may find an increase in our interests in social life and where we fit in. We also have a sextile between the Sun and the Lunar North Node, bringing a bit of feel-good energy our way. Things tend to feel that they are flowing along and opportunities may present themselves during this transit. Pay attention to people who cross your path for 2-3 days around this time, since they could offer resources, support or connections that could be helpful. Just be careful that you don’t resort to manipulation to make things happy your way. If you have to force something to work then maybe there’s a better solution.

Tuesday

Tuesday sees communications planet Mercury move into talkative Gemini, which will double the mental activity for the next month. Mercury is the planetary ruler of Gemini, so the mind wants to fly fast and free. Our perceptions and communications can come blowing through like a fresh breeze and this can create a variety of ideas in our heads, but not necessarily the productive application to putting those ideas in play. We can find it easier to articulate our words, collect and analyse our thoughts, and sharpen our focus.

Wednesday

Wednesday begins with an early morning Void of Course Moon that will then enter its Full lunation in the early afternoon. The Full Moon is still in Sagittarius and it will be a restless Full Moon that wants us to share ideas, take or teach a class, or just go somewhere fun. Sagittarius is a mutable fire sign, and this Full Moon will have an insatiable desire to explore the great unknown and learn everything that there is to know. Its a time to ask ourselves if we are truly living our lives to the fullest, and if we aren’t, this means its time to move outside of our comfort zones. Some things we can do under a Sagittarius Moon: Adventurous activities that involve “winging it”, travel, higher education, starting publishing projects, advertising, sports, physical activity. We also have a sextile between Mercury and Chiron going on today, which brings us an opportunity for thinking and reflecting on our pain, giving us the ability to talk about it. It can be a time where our spirits feel a bit more uplifted and buoyant because we feel, for once, that we can actually see that light at the end of the tunnel…and no it isn’t a train coming to run us down either!

Thursday

Thursday morning sees the Moon move into Capricorn, where our emotional charge seems to decrease as our feelings of duty and responsibility move to the fore. We tend to become more practical and logical, as well as more demanding and less sensitive to others and ourselves. With the Moon in Capricorn, we become aware of the need for structure and planning ahead. We also instinctively are aware of the limitations of time. We are motivated by a desire for success. Achievement and manifestation are most important to us now. We are resourceful and don’t want to waste time, energy, or resources. This can be a very sober influence–even a depressing one. However, it can also be a productive time when we look reality in the face. This lunar mood puts the focus on real-world ambitions. We might spend our time mapping out a business plan. It’s timely for considering what’s a good investment of your time, energy and resources. What will bring a solid return? Everything is viewed through a practical eye, including relationships. We can see how to make structural changes that make life more efficient.

Friday

Friday is a bit of a complicated day but in a good way. We have the Moon in Capricorn, which can help us tend to any practical business. We also have two harmonious trines, one between Mercury and Mars, and the other between Venus and Jupiter. So we may feel that part of us wants to get things done and another part of us wants to just play. The best way to deal with today’s energies is to find a healthy balance between the two. Pay attention to your dreams overnight as well with Venus interacting with the planet of dreams, Neptune.

WEEKEND

Saturday

Saturday begins with an early morning Void of Course Moon, which will be with us the whole day, moving into Aquarius just before midnight. With the Moon being Void of Course all day, it makes it a good time for doing simple tasks and we should steer clear of initiating any important new actions. Mercury will be sextile the Lunar North Node today. Mercury represents our rational mind. Its the planet of everyday communication and expression. It signifies our curiosity and what areas of life we find stimulating and appealing on a mental level. The Lunar North Node symbolizes a forward motion point in our lives, what our overall lesson is. Some believe it shows us our destiny. When Mercury interacts with either of the Nodes, it promises a highlight on movement. In this case, it focuses on how we communicate and plan our destiny. If you have something you need to tell the world, now is the time to do it!

Sunday

Sunday is mostly quiet in the skies but we do have the Aquarius Moon in play, which brings us feelings of openness with a sense of inner freedom. Our emotions become more alive and we feel we can express them more freely. What we can’t cope with are limitations being imposed upon us or pressure from others because our main focus is on our inner feelings of independence. We tend to have a sense of emotional coolness or detachment at the personal level, combined with an emphasis on idealism: such is the nature of the cycle we are now entering. We have a tendency to allow ourselves more freedom. There is an increased interest in knowledge, and a need to communicate with like-minded individuals. At the same time, your desire for freedom and independence is strengthened, and you will want to establish your own rules. It is a good period for reading, study and scientific pursuits. However, activities which require subordination and discipline, as well as jobs which bore you, will go from bad to worse now.

Week Ahead – Monday, May 21st through Sunday, May 27th

  • Posted on May 20, 2018 at 7:30 am

Happy Sunday everyone! We have that energetic and optimistic Leo Moon energy in play today, as well as a boost from Mars’s interaction with Chiron, meaning we can accomplish just about anything today. The only challenge today comes from Venus interacting with Chiron, which may mean we need to make some changes or adjustments in the areas of love and finances. Use these energies wisely and enjoy the day! Now, let’s take a look at what this week has in store for us.

Monday

Monday is the day the Sun moves into Gemini, so Happy Solar Return to all my fellow Gemini’s! The Sun will be in Gemini for a month, which will help us to open up to new ideas, explore new opportunities, or activate our information seeking and restless sides. Gemini’s influence also grants us some much-needed flexibility and a playfully realistic attitude about ourselves. Careful not to get irritable if everyone’s not moving as quickly as you — and watch for idle gossip!  The Sun in Gemini is a good time for getting your point across, writing letters or speaking in public, initiating flirtatious new friendships, and taking short trips. The Moon will also go Void of Course in the early hours and remain that way until tomorrow morning.

Tuesday

Tuesday begins with the Moon moving into Virgo in the early hours of the morning. A Virgo Moon is really good for organizing, cleaning, sorting and generally being more efficient. A Virgo Moon always reminds me of Spring cleaning where we de-clutter, make room, open the windows and let the fresh air flow through. On a more mental level, some may crave mentally stimulating puzzles, games and reading to satisfy the active mind. For those who have felt overwhelmed by life, now is a time when you can break down those problems into smaller, individual, and more manageable tasks. We have a sextile between the Sun and Chiron today, a harmonious transit that helps to shed light on those wounded areas, which can lead to a release from our bonds to our past and bring healing and wisdom. We also have a sextile between Mercury and Neptune, where our intuition will be running high. This is a good time for creativity, optimism, intuition, and hope. We just need to make sure that we stay grounded.

Wednesday

Wednesday brings a mix of energies from Mercury, Jupiter, the Sun, and Mars. We have an opposition between Mercury and Jupiter to start, a transit that seems to make our words come more easily…sometimes too easily. We need to be aware that right now, our judgment can be a bit off, so we need to take the time to really consider how all of these new ideas and thoughts will fit into the bigger picture. We then have a trine between the Sun and Mars, bringing us a boost of confidence and some motivation to take action. This energy can help balance out the Jupiter fogginess. Also, try not to overdo things with all of this energy. We may feel great today but will definitely feel the effects tomorrow. The Moon will go Void of Course mid-afternoon until tomorrow morning.

Thursday

Thursday morning sees the Moon shift signs into balancing and social Libra, where we can enjoy the company of others. The Moon in Libra creates this feeling of harmony and calm. We find we more easily connect with people, compromise is more likely and conflict less so. It’s a time when we find it easier to understand and relate to others. The mood is that of mutual devotion, so we seek to draw out the best in others right now. Creating order is also the focus, not necessarily through tidying or organizing as was the case while the Moon was in Virgo, but rather through pleasing interactions with others and aesthetics in our environment.

Friday

Friday brings some helpful energies our way. We have a trine between Jupiter and Neptune, so pay attention to your dreams right now. This transit brings us an atmosphere of support and empathy. Under this transit, we can gain a much broader understanding of who we are. This is a time for expressing our visions artistically or employing our inner senses to make meaningful what is often not logical, freeing us from the constraints of an excessively controlled environment. We also have a trine between Mercury and Pluto, which can help us to instinctively get to the heart of things. It’s a great time for mental activities which involve research, concentration, and investigation. During this transit, it may be a good idea to write down our thoughts and ideas so that we can review them again once this transit has slipped by. The Moon will go Void of Course in the late evening.

WEEKEND

Saturday/Sunday

Saturday will require some level of focus as the Moon moves into Scorpio in the mid-afternoon. Its a good time for delving into subjects that interest you on a deeper level. Keep in minds that a Scorpio Moon increases our sensitivity and emotional charge, so we need to be careful not to get swept away by irritability, mood-swings, hysteria, big and small excitements, and a sudden desire to quickly change everything. People tend to become more conscious of self and others and see everything in dark tones with the Moon in Scorpio. We also have Venus in an opposition to Saturn today. a transit that can bring feelings of loneliness and sadness as a result of delays and limitations we feel are affecting our love life and finances. It’s not a good time for socializing, so we should make preparations for some alone time. One thing you should try to do under this transit is to figure out where you may be responsible for any difficulties felt in the relationship, and perhaps work on a bit of self-development. Its a good time for work that needs preparation. Where finances are concerned, try to sort out debt, or at least get things more organized so you have an idea of where you stand. For those that are prone to depression, it may be a low couple of days for you. If you’re normally a cheerful person, it may be best to not fight the blues and let things ride themselves out. These energies will be with us through Sunday.

Week Ahead – Monday, May 14th through Sunday, May 20th

  • Posted on May 13, 2018 at 7:30 am

Happy Sunday everyone, and Happy Mother’s Day to all of you Moms in the U.S.A! We have a nice, cheery and chatty vibe for Mother’s Day so enjoy some time out with your Mom. We also have Mercury moving into Taurus today, so the next three weeks will be about putting some constructive efforts into our ideas because we can truly manifest some wonderful things now. Let’s see what the rest of this week has in store for us.

Monday/Tuesday

Monday is a quiet one in the skies for us. We do have a New Moon on Tuesday that stats out in Taurus and then ends in Gemini. This New Moon is a special one because for the first time in about 76 years we have inventive Uranus also moving into Taurus. The next 7 years could see technological changes in production. With the New Moon in Taurus, where we are given the opportunity to ground and settle any energies that we have unearthed. It brings a nurturing energy that allows us to move forward and guides us to physically engage in those things that nurture us. Later today, when the Moon moves into Gemini, our basic instinct is to communicate, think, and learn. We are motivated by a desire for variety and by an instinctive curiosity. The Moon in Gemini is light-hearted, breezy, and curious, but it can also be restless and fickle.

Wednesday

Wednesday brings a mixed bag. We have Mars moving into Aquarius while making a disruptive square to Uranus. The downside to this can be accidents, especially aviation related ones. It’s not a good time to force issues or machinery now because under this energy we see things break. The upside is that we can take action to open up to innovated ways to live our lives.

Thursday

Thursday brings us an early evening Void of Course Moon that will shift into nurturing Cancer in the later part of the night. This energy will help to lessen some of that high nervous energy we were getting with the New Moon. Under Cancer’s influence, people become more sensitive and go deeper into their inner world, which takes on more importance at this time than the outer world. A feeling of belonging and safety is what motivates us under this influence. The Moon feels right at home in the sign of Cancer, as it rules the sign. This Moon position has much healing potential. Although insular by nature, our feelings run deep, making it an ideal time to get in touch with what motivates us. We want roots; we crave a sense of intimate connection that will.

Friday

Friday brings us a trine between Mercury and Saturn, making it a highly productive day for mental work and serious conversations. Mercury also squares off to the Lunar North Node, where we can feel compelled to do a 360 about where we have been headed on our life’s path. It’s a time when information or facts turn up that are in total contradiction to what we believed was true or real about our sense of life purpose. In some instances, we may feel as if someone else is just getting in our way. We may also find at this time that we have to express some information or a point of view that isn’t favourable or welcome to others, or it may feel like a real challenge to get our point across. If you find yourself in this kind of scenario, don’t go overboard trying to stand your ground. Instead, focus on what needs to be said and how best to say it.

WEEKEND

Saturday

Saturday sees Venus moving into Cancer for the next three weeks, so things like family, food, nutrition and beautification are good things to focus on. Venus will also be in a sextile with Uranus, an unpredictable energy that can feel quite exciting for the social aspects of our lives. We may find that enjoyment pops up where we least expect it. Anything that breaks away from our routines will feel like a very welcome change.

Sunday

Sunday sees the Moon moving into Leo in the wee hours of the morning. Under Leo, we feel more energetic and optimistic. We feel like we can do anything! We crave compliments and appreciation and are generous with kind words to others. This Moon brings a cheery vibe, making it easier to be lifted out of the doldrums. Its a good time for presentations, celebrations and social events. We have Mars and Venus interacting with Chiron today as well. The Mars/Chiron aspect brings an energy boost that can be a tool we can use with extreme precision, accomplishing exactly what we need to do. It also brings a chance to take action that can bring about some healing resolutions to long-standing, ongoing problems you have been dealing with. The Venus/Chiron energy is more challenging and we may find that we are forced to make some adjustments in our relationships or finances.

Week Ahead – Monday, May 7th through Sunday, May 13th

  • Posted on May 6, 2018 at 7:32 am

Happy Sunday everyone! I hope you are all enjoying the long bank holiday weekend in the UK. We actually got some good weather for a change too! Our first week of may started with a gentle energy. This second week is going to change that though as things pick up the pace. We have the Moon in Aquarius today, which is a great energy for doing activities with new people we are just getting to know. Its a nice vibe for enjoying the bank holiday weekend, so get out and try something new if you can. Now, let’s see what this new week has in store for us.

Monday

Monday starts us off with a square between Mercury and Pluto, which challenges how we think and communicate. Square aspects usually bring challenges or obstacles that we need to overcome. Mercury Square Pluto is no exception here and we need to be cautious with this transit with impulsive and obsessive interaction between quick to speak Mercury and burn your bridges Pluto. Try to avoid the assumption that you and someone else are on the same page right now and make sure to be clear with them. We also have a square between Venus and Neptune today, which makes it a not so good time to have relationships discussions or discussions about finances. Feeling disillusioned, disappointed, alone or depressed can come with this transit. However, try to keep in mind that this may just be a passing phase and not a more serious crisis at this time.

Tuesday

Tuesday brings us an opposition between the Sun and Jupiter, giving us a larger perspective on who we are. Under its influence, we might fall victim to wasting opportunities, time, or resources. Generally, this transit is a “feel-good” transit where we are likely to be feeling quite powerful and optimistic. The problem with the transit is that we may also over-reach as a result of these inflated feelings of importance. The desire for something “bigger and better” could take hold now, but try to avoid throwing practical considerations out the window!

Wednesday

Wednesday begins with an early morning Void of Course Moon that quickly moves into mystical Pisces. A Pisces Moon can bring about feelings of romance, heightened intuition, mystical and dreamy moods, and an interest in the unknown, religion and all that is magical. We tend to become softer, sentimental and more tender, speaking words of kindness and complimenting those we love. We also tend to have this deeper understanding of the hidden meaning of life, events and things, as well as a more intimate perception of beauty, art, poetry and music. It’s a good time for long soaks in the tub, being near the ocean or other water bodies, watching or doing theatre, taking in a film festival, meditation or spirit-based retreat, being solitary, any imaginative project, and tending to those in crisis or lost.

Thursday/Friday

Thursday is a quiet one in the skies, aside from the continuing Pisces Moon vibe in play. Friday brings us a mid-morning Void of Course Moon that will last until the early afternoon. It then moves into fiery Aries. Some of you may actually feel this shift more than others. An Aries Moon tends to bring conflict more than most times, with emotional tensions growing, people becoming short-tempered and impulsive. We want to free ourselves from everything that bothers us and makes our lives feel uneasy. An Aries Moon can bring emotional vitality and the drive to act on our feelings. With the Moon in Aries, we’re motivated by a strong desire to start fresh. We get this gut instinct to start something new, as well as the motivation to do so. Our pioneering impulses are strong as well under this influence, and we tend to feel more energetic, spontaneous, and enthusiastic. Its a good energy for dreaming big, soul search for your passions, quick actions that yield immediate results, undertakings that involve the self and the personality, self-assertion, taking on challenges, and beginning short-term projects. Just keep in mind that the staying power with Aries can be lacking. Adding to this energy is a harmonious trine between the Sun and Pluto, which brings us the perfect opportunity to let go of something, someone or some behaviour or belief that no longer serves us. Whether you’re clearing out your closet or flushing out your brain, this transit is the time for getting rid of whatever has become unnecessary or outworn in our lives.

WEEKEND

Saturday

Saturday brings a challenging square between Mercury and Mars, a transit that is characterized by hot debates, fiery speech and lots of arguments. We may experience this in forms of conflict or we may find these exchanges as challenging yet stimulating. We just need to remember to pace all of that mental energy. We also find our brains want to get going on our “to do” lists, however, our body has other ideas and feels like it just can’t keep up. But this energy gets easier as the day goes on.

Sunday

Sunday is the day that Mercury moves into a new sign, earthy Taurus. When Mercury is in Taurus, our thinking is down to earth, solid, and grounded. Our mental awareness and attitude can be a bit conservative and serious during this transit, or more relaxed, down to earth and grounded in life’s simple pleasures. This is a good time for planning out how we want to manifest the ideas that sprang up from our imagination over the past few weeks. Now is the time to take our best ideas, words and perceptions and sow them like seeds, then step back and watch them grow over time. We also have Mercury in a conjunction with Uranus today, which brings about spontaneous, radical, and unusual means of thinking and communicating. It’s a good energy for gatherings which can include community, family, friends and groups. Later this evening the Moon will very briefly go Void of Course and then joins Mercury in Taurus. When the Moon moves into Taurus, we feel the tension of the past few days start to drop away. People tend to become calmer and peaceful. We feel secure and stable. There is also this tendency for our thoughts and reactions to slow down, making us feel a bit slow in getting ourselves going. This is the best time for taking care of the home, running errands, restocking supplies and tending to routine maintenance. Its best to hold off on important business now, as well as the signing of contracts or important papers, because we may make mistakes due to a slowed down reaction and thinking process. Other things we can do under this energy are giving and receiving messages, baking and cooking, singing or dancing, gardening, building structures, considering steps of a plan, experimenting with home aromatherapy, stretching (especially the neck), try new fruits, concoctions, cocktails and dishes, make pottery or sculpture, indulging some sound therapy.
