What’s New This Month

April Blessings everyone!  I think we are finally starting to see the Spring weather peeking out from Winter’s cloak.  This month we celebrate April Fool’s Day, Easter, Earth Day, and St. George’s Day.  I will be away from March 28th until April 3rd so any orders will be booked in from the 4th of April onwards, on a first come first serve basis.

Many of us are feeling drawn toward beginning our spring cleaning as well. April is usually when I start my Spring cleaning and can start transplanting some of my herbs to my outside garden.  Clearing the home, the work space, and clearing out things within can have such a purging effect on the soul that often brings a sense of hope as we de-clutter and free up our space. It’s been proven that clutter can affect our emotional well-being and can bring on feelings of depression and stagnation. And what better way to clear all that negative energy than to have a bit of Reiki to help boost that clearing out process. I like to open the windows and smudge with Sage to clear energy in the home. I use a bit of Reiki as I go through the house as well. Feng Shui is another great tool to help redirect or neutralize any “off” energies too.

This month I have some great readings for Spring: “The Spring Cleaning” and “Spring Flower” tarot readings. In honour of April Fool’s Day there is the “Fools Journey” and “Fool’s Choice” readings along with the “Heart of Faery” and a Feng Shui reading.  All of these can be found in the   Monthly Specials section along with a few other inspirational readings to help bring balance into your life.  You can have a browse through the many specialized readings I offer on the  Tarot Readings page.  Tarot’s Life Path & Personal Growth section is a good place to start!  Or take a wander through the various Oracle readings on my site, like Rune, Angel, Faery and Animal Totem readings.  All of these categories can be found on the main Reading Room page.  Don’t forget to check out the other areas on the Readings page, like the Oracles, Rune and Animal Medicine Cards sections.

If you have a website or blog that you need some creative content writing for, I offer my services as a freelance writer. You can check out my basic prices at Faery Scribe. I’ve written for several sites, such as Natural News, Jules of the Earth, Hirewriters and a number of private clients.

If you’re looking for some unique handcrafted items, come visit, Faery Trinkets where I will have my Barefoot Sandals, bracelets, earrings, necklaces and crochet items on display for sale. I’ll be adding some crocheted items as well soon, and you can also find these items in my Etsy shop.
In the Reiki/Energy Work section you can find reiki and energy work to help give you a bit of a boost. You can find Reiki sessions, Chakra Healing and Attunements, Violet Flame healing, and the Avalon Crown of Success healing. Reiki is great for flushing out the old energies that may be lingering both in our own energetic bodies and the environment around us.

If Astrology is your cup of tea be sure to stop by my Astrology section where you can order some insightful Natal charts, Compatibility reports and Transit reports to see what will be affecting you in the months ahead. Each persons Birth Chart can show how the positions of the planets and stars at the exact time of their birth can influence their life. Learn how each planetary position has determined your physical, personal, psychic and spiritual characteristics! These charts are a great gift for birthdays or just as a special way to treat someone to a bit of astrological insight.

Week Ahead – Monday, March 26th through Sunday, April 1st

  • Posted on March 25, 2018 at 7:30 am

Happy Sunday everyone! Here we are in the last week of March and we are still waiting for Spring to make an appearance. For those of you in the UK and Europe, it’s Daylight Savings, so make sure those clocks have gone ahead by an hour. Today we have quite a bit of emotional lunar aspects, so try to just go with the flow of the day’s ups and downs without letting yourself get stuck in anything emotionally. Now, let’s see what this week has in store for us.

Monday starts off with an early morning Void of Course Moon that will then shifts into Leo before Noon, making the start of our work week a more friendly and vibrant one. Leo makes it easier to be lifted out of the doldrums. Its a good time for presentations, celebrations and social events. You might want to leave the day open, and let your spontaneous mischievous child inside lead the way.

Tuesday is a quiet one for us, but we still have that Leo energy to work with. Wednesday begins with a mid-morning Void of Course Moon that will shift into Virgo mid-afternoon. In this mutable earth sign of Virgo, the mood is geared toward busy productivity and adjusting with minor tweaks here and there. It favours clearing, refining, purging, detoxing and organizing. It also favours launching self-improvement schemes. We also have a conjunction between Venus and Uranus, making for a light and happy day. It’s not the best day for doing work that needs our concentration.

Thursday brings us a challenging square between the Sun and Saturn, making it a good day for doing small tasks and keeping a low profile. It’s a transit that highlights those areas where we need to accept our own limitations, boundaries, and expectations. How stressful this feels to you will depend on how well you deal with hard work, restrictive limits, responsibility, and authority. Those who have issues with authority, for example, could find themselves butting heads with someone who is in charge. The best way to get through this day-long transit is to find constructive ways to work with this energy rather than trying to throw ourselves against it. This is the kind of day/transit that usually has a very important lesson for us to learn about ourselves.

Friday starts off with an early morning Void of Course Moon that will be with us for the main part of the day. The Moon enters social Libra this evening, just in time for the weekend. Creating order is also the focus, not necessarily through tidying or organizing as was the case while the Moon was in Virgo, but rather through pleasing interactions with others and aesthetics in our environment. We also have a trine between Mercury and the North Lunar Node. This is an aspect that brings us a fresher awareness as well as a better ability to communicate that awareness. It is a beneficial resource which can help us to take a few more steps closer towards our life purpose. Just bear in mind that we also need to take action too. We will need to, at some juncture, take into account what we have observed and do something with this.

Saturday is the day that Venus makes her move into sensual Taurus, one of her favourite signs to be in. She will be there until April 24th, bringing us a month of heightened sensuality and pleasure. We do need to take care however not to overindulge in those sensory delights. Some of us may feel the urge to be more grounded, practical and methodical under this transits influence and you will see this occurring in how we handle relationships, possessions, money, and material things as well as how we attract what we desire. Be careful though that you don’t fall into the shadow side on this transits energy though and become too attached to possession as a way to make yourself feel grounded, or just become too possessive of those around you.

Sunday brings us our Libra Full Moon, a potent one that can either motivate or challenge us. Libra wants us to focus on improving our relationships, but the Aries Sun wants us to be independent and go off pioneering a new path of self-discovery. Then we have good old Mercury Retrograde, who wants us to review and rethink the balance we have between individuality and sharing. Add to this a challenge by Mars, who wants everything yesterday, and Saturn, who wants us to be patient. We can benefit now by putting some physical efforts into our long-term projects. Just remember to leave some room for change with Mercury still Retrograde.

Week Ahead – Monday, March 19th through Sunday, March 25th

  • Posted on March 18, 2018 at 7:30 am

Happy Sunday everyone! Looks like we aren’t out of the winter woods yet here in the UK with another snowy weekend. Take heart though! This week brings us the Spring Equinox, so we aren’t too far away from warmer weather. The next 3 months of Spring have an emphasis on the earth and fire elements, which means we can bring our passion and creativity down to manifest in the physical world. We have a lack of air elements, however, and that means it can be all too easy to get stuck in one mindset. So we need to be open to and listen to the ideas of others or we could get stuck in a rut. Today is also our New Moon in Aries, which is the perfect time for setting intentions for the things you wish to create, cultivate, manifest and develop. Its energies differ from the Full Moon in that the New Moon looks inward. It is the void empty space between letting go of the old and waiting for the new, and this can be frightening for some. A Void is meant to be filled though and we need to not fill it with frightened and uncertain energies, but rather fill it with hopes, wishes, and desires. Use this energy wisely! Now, let’s have a look at the week ahead.

Monday is a quiet one in the skies, but we still have access to that Aries New Moon energy. Many of you may feel the need to be active with Aries’ energy, so find ways to burn off any extra energy. Also, it would e a good idea to make your calls and tend to details early this week because Mercury is slowing down and getting ready for its retrograde cycle that begins March 22nd, and will last until April 15th.

Tuesday is the Spring Equinox and the Sun moves into Aries, so Happy Solar return all of you Taurean’s! Under this influence, we are feeling a bit of excitement and an urge for new experiences and adventures. The Moon will be moving into Taurus in the very early hours of the morning, so over the next couple of days, we will start to feel the tension of the past few days starting to drop away. People tend to become calmer and peaceful under a Taurus Moon, and we feel secure and stable. There is also this tendency for our thoughts and reactions to slow down, making us feel a bit slow in getting ourselves going. This is the best time for taking care of the home, running errands, restocking supplies and tending to routine maintenance. Its best to hold off on important business now, as well as the signing of contracts or important papers, because we may make mistakes due to a slowed down reaction and thinking process. Lastly, we have a conjunction between Mercury and Venus going on, and this is a transit that is marked by receptive awareness, positive social connections, and diplomatic communication. Bear in mind that Mercury goes retrograde in a couple of days, so take care of any negotiations with any contracts, agreements, or mutual plans.

Wednesday is another quiet day, but we do have a Void of Course Moon in the late afternoon. In the Void, the Moon is not quite sure how it feels just yet. And since the Moon rules our emotions, we don’t know how we feel either! We may feel a bit lost, run down, out of sorts or confused. The effects can last from a few seconds to a day or two. With energy feeling off balance, it isn’t a good time for making major decisions or doing anything based on emotional decisions because our perceptions are a bit out of whack. So starting something new, making major decisions or purchased, signing contracts and overall planning, asking for favours, selling something like a house, buying something expensive like a home or new car, starting a job search or applying for a job, making announcements of importance, and starting relationships (some believe it is an ill omen to marry during a Void of Course Moon). It isn’t all negative though. There are some benefits we gain during these Void times. For example, its the best time for taking a break, kicking back and relaxing and pretty much doing anything that doesn’t really need too much of our attention or energy.

Thursday morning starts off with the Moon in Gemini, where we become active, feel stronger emotional sensitivity and a need for socializing. We also have the tendency to fall under influences that can lead to the danger of getting off course and making mistakes. It’s also the day that Mercury begins its retrograde cycle. Mercury is retrograde in the sign of Aries. This means we could be in for a lot of quick fluctuations in our perceptions and thoughts. We could find it hard to make any firm decisions as well because every feeling or event triggers a new perspective or thought. Be careful not to make snap decisions now, or assume too quickly that what we think we see is really there in reality. Try to avoid rushing projects. It can be easy to forget the important details when we are rushing.

Friday brings us a challenging square between Venus and Pluto and under this influence we don’t want to force our values on others. This transit does support going to deeper emotional levels where our relationships are concerned though. However, make sure you are doing this in order to understand each other, not in order to change that person. Mainly, this transit can shed light on those problem areas in our lives that need to go through a bit of a transformative process in order to heal.

Saturday brings us an early morning Void of Course Moon before the Moon moves into Cancer in the morning. This energy favours close friends and family connections. Quite often, when the Moon is in Cancer, we all become homebodies. We want to retreat to the place we feel most at home. This can bring out a sense of “homesickness” if we’re far from home, or estranged from others. It may be a time, then of reaching out to those that know us best. We also have a square between the Sun and Mars, which tends to bring out a competitive “me first” mindset, even for those who are not normally like this. This can be a good energy to tap into if you need a bit of courage to stand up for yourself. it allows us to focus on ourselves and our own needs, which is great if you have been focusing so much on others that you have neglected yourself.

Sunday is a quiet one, but still good for connecting with close friends and family, or doing home related, comforting tasks.

Week Ahead – Monday, March 12th through Sunday, March 18th

  • Posted on March 11, 2018 at 7:30 am

Happy Sunday everyone, and Happy Mothering Sunday to all of you Mum’s in the UK. It’s also Daylight Savings in the U.S.A today, so remember to move those clocks ahead an hour. It looks like we are finally coming out of our deep freeze and heading slowly into Spring. Time to prepare for the big spring clean that many of us do each year, as we throw off the darker days of winter and open the doors to new energies. Many of you may have felt your sleep was disrupted as you wake today, not just from the time change, but because <ars and Uranus are creating a trine. making us want to get up and so stuff out of our normal routine. This will continue into the next few days of this week. Let’s see what else the week has in store for us.

Monday afternoon brings us a Void of Course Moon that will move into Aquarius in the late evening. This eccentric energy wants us to explore new and different things and have us take a day off from our usual routine. The Moon in Aquarius can bring blessed relief from too much emoting. It allows us the distance to see the big picture. The mood takes us down tangents of thought or brings exciting flash ideas. It’s a great time for tuning into the collective currents. It favors social networking via the net or experimenting with other technologies that keep you connected. It’s time for embracing the new, the futuristic and innovative.

Tuesday brings us a square between Venus and Saturn, where we may see difficulties relating to others. People may appear cool with their affections and emotionally distant. It’s a time to avoid new financial undertakings, as they may prove to be “money pits” as time passes. There may be anxiety or troubles with regards to matters concerned with the feelings. Romantic disappointments, unrequited love, separations, and broken engagements are the more negative manifestations. Try not to read too much into situations, particularly social and romantic circumstances. This transit is best used for reflection. We also have a trine between the Sun and Jupiter, a supportive aspect that the ancients considered a positive one. With the Sun and Jupiter working together we are able to work in harmony with our environment radiating warmth and generosity to those around us.

Wednesday brings us a challenging square between warrior planet Mars and the wounded healer Chiron. This is a time where we need to confront the issues in our lives that involve why and how we tend to get hurt by others, how we hurt others, and how healing can now take place in either of these scenarios. Our awareness of this can be due to a conflict in our life, but this can also be a very valuable learning experience for us, more so than usual. Part of the issue can be down to a need to tread our own path but we are avoiding doing so for whatever reason, possibly because circumstances are compelling us to satisfy the expectations of others, or because we are still struggling to muster up the courage to discover and walk our own path. Whatever our reasons, this transit can give us the push we need to help steer us in a direction of healing, possibly by showing us why and how the path we have been on is not leading us to where we want to be. If you do start to feel overwhelmed, take some time to yourself from the stress to get grounded and re-centered.

Thursday morning begins with a Void of Course Moon that will move into Pisces mid-morning. A Pisces Moon can bring about feelings of romance, heightened intuition, mystical and dreamy moods, and an interest in the unknown, religion and all that is magical. We tend to become softer, sentimental and more tender, speaking words of kindness and complimenting those we love. We also tend to have this deeper understanding of the hidden meaning of life, events and things, as well as a more intimate perception of beauty, art, poetry, and music.

Friday sees Mars moving signs into Capricorn. Mars seems to be quite at home in this sign, highly creative and brings with it a very deliberate, persistent energy. It may very well help you find that motivation or give that last little push to get things sorted.

There are some downsides to this transit too, however. If you tend to struggle with the above qualities or have a bit of a rebellious side where your personal freedom is concerned, you may feel restricted and uncomfortable with the limitations of this energy. Mercury will be in a trine with the North Lunar Node as well today. This aspect brings us a fresher awareness as well as a better ability to communicate that awareness. It is a beneficial resource which can help us to take a few more steps closer towards our life purpose. Just bear in mind that we also need to take action too. We will need to, at some juncture, take into account what we have observed and do something with this.

Saturday is St. Patrick’s Day and the Moon shifts from dreamy Pisces into fired up Aries this evening. Some may actually feel this shift more than others. An Aries Moon tends to bring conflict more than most times, with emotional tensions growing, people becoming short-tempered and impulsive. Some may show a readiness and fearlessness to act in an extreme situation. Even the sweetest tempered person can become a bit mean under this moon. However, it becomes easier to shake old problem and the weight of tiresome responsibility. We want to free ourselves from everything that bothers us and makes our lives feel uneasy.

Sunday is our New Moon, still in Aries. When we have a New Moon we also have the Sun in the same sign, which is why these energies are so focused and potent. For those who do energy and spell work, the New Moon is the perfect time for setting intentions for the things you wish to create, cultivate, manifest and develop. Its energies differ from the Full Moon in that the New Moon looks inward. It supports you if you’ve got to be dynamic, for a job interview or on a date. You can go ahead and start that project or try to sell your idea to others. Quick short activities are favored, rather than doing any tedious footwork. You can encourage a friend, work on self-promotion materials, or throw a party. We also have a conjunction between the Sun and Chiron.   Over the next few days, we will notice that we turn our focus towards our own healing needs. Our energy levels may be more open to health issues, making us feel somewhat drained. Some may feel a renewed sense of motivation that propels them to start building up their physical/health defenses through starting new fitness regimes, creating new health goals, and making lifestyle changes that will benefit your health in some way. This can be a good time for observation and learning regarding how issues in our lives are affecting us, the role we play in them, and what other choices we have before us. Working towards self-acceptance at this time can help strengthen the areas in our lives that make us feel weak and vulnerable.

Week Ahead – Monday, March 5th through Sunday, March 11th

  • Posted on March 4, 2018 at 7:30 am

Happy Sunday everyone! Many of us are still feeling the effects of the big freeze here, and many are hoping for Spring to show its head soon. We do have the Spring Equinox coming up in a couple of weeks so, fingers crossed that Mother Nature takes wakes up soon. Today is a good one for spiritual activities, sharing our dreams, both dreams for the future and the dreams we had last night, with others. It’s also a good day for being social since we are under the influence of a Libra Moon. However, as we move into the evening, some of you may find you have a low tolerance for people who are being annoying. Now let’s take a look at what this week has in store for us.

Monday morning begins with a Void of Course Moon that will shift into brooding Scorpio by the mid-afternoon. Scorpio brings heightened emotional charge and sensitivity, and people tend to become more conscious of self and others and see everything in dark tones. It can also be a time for healing as we destroy the roots of a disturbance in our life. We crave deeper conversation, and we want to get to the root of issues. Learning what makes people tick is something we can be really drawn to. But be careful that you don’t start pushing buttons or try to force others to confront their own demons. One thing to avoid though are manipulative tactics, brooding, and suspiciousness. We tend to be more drawn towards the darker side of ourselves too under this sign. Done wisely, we can get to the source of issues and create the seeds of new transformation to happen.

Tuesday sees Mercury and Venus moving into Aries. Mercury will be in Aries until the middle of May, much longer than usual because of its upcoming retrograde cycle that starts on the 22nd. So, rather than our usual 3 weeks, we get Mercury in Aries for about 10 weeks. This does give us the time to improve things like our health regimes. You’ll find you have more of a “Just do it!” attitude and, where communication is concerned, we want to cut through the red tape and the mish-mosh to get to the point of things.  Venus will be in Aries until the end of this month, and its a good time for pioneering some new paths in both existing relationships and in our search for love. Venus isn’t very comfortable in Aries though, because Aries wants its independence. So we need to find a good balance between our individual needs and sharing needs.

Wednesday brings us a Void of Course Moon that will last until the latter part of the evening when it shifts into upbeat Sagittarius. This makes a great time for sharing our big ideas with enthusiasm, which could help get others on board with ideas and projects. We may find an increase in our interests in social life and where we fit in. We may also be inclined toward overdoing and overstating. We don’t want to plan ahead, and prefer to “wing it”. So, a bit of care is needed in these situations.

Thursday is the day that Mercury enters its Shadow. The Shadow is where Mercury will later go retrograde, about two and a half weeks from now. During Mercury’s retrograde cycle it travels through the same span of zodiac signs 3 times (the shadow). The first time Mercury passes through it is direct or moving forward. Then it appears to move backwards, or retrograde, before finally going direct again. We also have Jupiter going Retrograde today. or up to a week before and after this date (while Jupiter is moving very slowly and stopped during the station), you may experience an increase in idealism, longing or inspiration. It allows us to gain a new level of enlightenment because we can go deeper within ourselves. It’s a great time for improving ourselves and preparing for when Jupiter moves forward again, bringing bigger and better things our way. Friday is a quiet one in the skies for us.

Saturday has a Void of Course Moon in the wee hours of the morning before it shifts into Capricorn mid-morning. With the Moon in Capricorn, we become aware of the need for structure and planning ahead. We also instinctively are aware of the limitations of time. We are motivated by a desire for success. Achievement and manifestation are most important to us now. We are resourceful and don’t want to waste time, energy, or resources. This can be a very sober influence–even a depressing one. However, it can also be a productive time when we look reality in the face.

Sunday is Daylight Savings time for the U.S.A – so don’t forget to turn those clocks ahead an hour. Mercury will be square Saturn today, so getting from point A to point B can be a challenge during this transit due to obstacles and delays. Communications may be blocked or delayed, and negative thinking could dominate at this time causing feelings of irritation. The best advice is to stay focused yet listen carefully; important information is available. We have a trine between Mars and Uranus going on as well. The transits of Mars to planets and points in the natal chart are relatively brief influences, lasting approximately 2-3 days. Mars takes approx 2 years to travel 360 Degrees in the Zodiac and the twelve houses and acts to energize and activate the conditions surrounding the planets and points it touches. So, this will be a very high energy time, although not necessarily predictable or reliable. Lastly, we have a sextile between the Sun and Pluto going on today. Under this transit we can feel our sense of purpose grow stronger, allowing us to tap into the deeper levels of our energy stores and determination. We also gain the ability to be able to see below the surface of things. We may not be able to understand what it is we are seeing but we can often get to the core of unconscious patterns that need changing. Some of the insights we gain now may not bring about a “light bulb” moment until later down the line.
