Below is just a snippet of December’s newsletter. If you subscribe or go to my website you will have access to the astrology section, monthly raffle and a variety of other goodies!

What’s New This Month

Here we are once more, moving into the last month of another year gone by.  We have a lot of friendly energy around for this month, which makes it perfect fpr the festive season and connecting with old friends, meeting new acquaintances, and to trying out groups and organizations to expand our circle of people. As we come to the close of the old year I always make a point of looking back at where I was this time last year. And I am always amazed at just how much I have done and learned. Soon we will be entering 2017 and hopefully a more positive time of growth for ourselves and the world around us.

As we start moving into the colder and darker days of winter, many of us start to feel a bit down, tired, or overwhelmed. Darker days can often create a feeling of melancholy. That is why its so important to do things that bring warmth to your environment and your spirit. Pampering yourself in little ways, focusing on crafts or projects in the house you may not have had time for, or taking stock of what you have done and what you wish to do in the coming year; all of these are ways to perk things up a bit.

The specials for this month reflect the energies of the holiday season. We have the “Solstice of Light” and the “Yule Star” readings. And for those of you wanting a glimpse at what the New Year will be bringing you, the ever popular “New Year Outlook” and “New Year, New You” readings are available. The New Year Outlook reading comes with a 1 year astrology transit report too! All of these can be found in the  Monthly Specials  section this month, along with a few other inspirational readings to help bring balance into your life, such as the Spiritual Journey and the Fool’s Journey readings for those who are looking to start off in a new direction. So be sure to stop by and have a look at the September specials! You can have a browse through the many specialized readings I offer on the  Tarot Readings page.  Tarot’s Life Path & Personal Growth section is a good place to start!  Or take a wander through the various Oracle readings on my site, like Rune, Angel, Faery and Animal Totem readings.  All of these categories can be found on the main Reading Room page.  Don’t forget to check out the other areas on the Readings page, like the Oracles, Rune and Animal Medicine Cardssections.

For many getting ready to start some early Yuletide shopping, have a browse through my Faery Trinkets  shop, where I will have my Barefoot Sandals, bracelets, earrings, necklaces and crochet items on display for sale.  I’ll be adding some crocheted items as well soon, and you can also find these items in my Etsy shop.

If you have a website or blog that you need some creative content writing for, I offer my services as a freelance writer.  You can check out my basic prices at Faery Scribe.  I’ve written for several sites, such as Natural News, Jules of the Earth, Hirewriters and a number of private clients.

In the Reiki/Energy Work section you can find reiki and energy work to help give you a bit of a boost. You can find Reiki sessions, Chakra Healing and Attunements, Violet Flame healing, and the Avalon Crown of Success healing. Reiki is great for flushing out the old energies that may be lingering both in our own energetic bodies and the environment around us.

If Astrology is your cup of tea be sure to stop by my Astrology section where you can order some insightful Natal charts, Compatibility reports and Transit reports to see what will be affecting you in the months ahead. Each persons Birth Chart can show how the positions of the planets and stars at the exact time of their birth can influence their life. These charts are a great gift for birthdays or just as a special way to treat someone to a bit of astrological insight.

Week Ahead – Monday November 28th through Sunday December 4th

Happy Sunday everyone! well, here we are at the last few days of November and the start of festive December…and I haven’t gotten any of my Yuletide shopping done yet. Fingers crossed I make it before Christmas Eve! So, its Sunday and we have the Moon in Scorpio for most of the day before it enters it’s Void of Course phase. This makes for a quiet day where we can focus on any projects that require our concentration. Without further ado, let’s see what this week has in store for us.

Monday kicks off with a Sagittarius Moon, bringing some peace and stability. We tend to become a bit more orderly and calm, are ready to follow routines and rules and have a need for giving and receiving advice and recommendations. We may find a increase in our interests in social life and where we fit in. Sagittarius also wants to party and pushes us to expand our belief system and philosophy in order to allow more into our lives. We also have a challenging square between Venus and Uranus happening now. Under this transit we need to be careful of temptations like impulse buying and being a bit erratic with our resources. Otherwise our finances can become a bit unstable. Best thing to do is stick to your budget or, if you feel you must buy that extra something, check your funds and be realistic.

Tuesday brings our Sagittarius New Moon. This New Moon is all about beliefs, values, shifts, and challenges. There is a wee bit of a contradiction here with Sagittarius wanting to have its party time and lots of fun, and the New Moon wanting to be introspective. So it’s important that we make room for both under this period. Just remember that the main thing about a New Moon is that it is all about new beginnings that come from a deeper and more spiritual level of our being. It’s a good idea to take time and see where your philosophies don’t measure up to your day to day life.

Wednesday is the last day of November and ends with a challenging square between the Sun and Neptune. The Sun is high energy and wants to get outdoors with Sagittarius energy around. But Neptune just wants to kick back and relax. This is a tricky challenging transit to work with because it has the tendency to take those wistful ideas and wishful thinking, and make them seem more realistic than they actually are. What tends to happen then is that we become disillusioned and prone to disappointment. Some may want a fantasy to come true so badly that they disconnect themselves from any actual obstacles that get in the way. Really we need to be paying attention to those obstacles because they are needed and serve a purpose for our own self growth. On a positive note, this transit makes our imagination very active. It can be a creative time if we are able to harness our imaginations and creativity in a productive way.

Thursday sees the Moon starting off Void of Course in the early hours before shifting into Capricorn as we are all rising for the day. The Moon is in Capricorn when we begin our morning. In Capricorn our emotional charge seems to decrease as our feelings of duty and responsibility move to the fore. We tend to become more practical and logical, as well as more demanding and less sensitive to others and ourselves. We have some asteroid action happening as well today. Chiron, the Wounded Healer turns direct in Pisces, which can have us feeling like we have one foot in the physical world and one in the spiritual realm, caught between the mental and emotional aspects of our lives, or feeling a conflict between our outer objective and our inner subjective experiences. As Chiron moves forward we find it’s time to take all that we have learned over the last few months and apply them over the coming months while Chiron is still in it’s shadow. While that is happening, we have the asteroid Vesta turning retrograde. Vesta is most known for ruling over hearth, home and family. But she also rules over our core sense of independence and identity. While Vesta is in retrograde we may also be challenged to look for deeper meaning amongst traditional religion or practices that are not satisfying our soul. She has been linked to the growth of alternative practices, healers and working with the mind to manifest our desires through positive thinking. She can help us to remember the power that we have within ourselves that allows us to constantly create and recreate ourselves. Lastly, we have a trine between Mars and Jupiter, which can have ideas flooding into our heads and wanting to get them out, making us chatterboxes. With it’s more optimistic energy, Jupiter brings out the visionary within. Make sure you keep a pen and paper with you and write down all those ideas winging through your head. This way you can look at them later and see which are doable. You may even find a new solution to an old problem or two now. You might even find that luck comes your way because you are more receptive to opportunities and possibilities.

Friday sees cerebral Mercury moving into structured and responsible Capricorn, which brings out it’s more analytical and focused side. This means our communication will be more down to earth and more focused on practical matters. With Mercury the focus is on knowledge, communications of all kinds, and travel. So, when the Messenger planet mixes with Capricorn, these areas will be on solid footing. It’s a good time for making those New Years resolutions because we have a better chance of seeing them through as we build solid plans for 2017. We also need to keep in mind that Saturn rules Capricorn, so we will have Saturn’s energy and influence being felt at this time too. Saturn brings structure and order which helps to keep mischievous Mercury in line, slowing it down and whipping it into shape.

Saturday starts off with a Void of Course Moon for most of the day. It then shifts into Aquarius later in the evening. When the Moon is in Aquarius it brings us feelings of openness with a sense of inner freedom. Our emotions become more alive and we feel we can express them more freely. What we can’t cope with are limitations being imposed upon us or pressure from others because our main focus is on our inner feelings of independence. We tend to have a sense of emotional coolness or detachment at the personal level, combined with an emphasis on idealism: such is the nature of the cycle we are now entering. We have a tendency to allow ourselves more freedom. We also have a sextile between Mars and Saturn happening, which makes it a good time to appreciate determined effort and actions. It’s a great transit if we need to be more productive or we need to make more progress in a goal that we have been working towards. Sunday is a quiet one in the skies, so we could probably use this weekend for those projects mentioned above.

Week Ahead – Monday November 21st through Sunday November 27th

Fall_Leaves_Transparent_Picture

Happy Sunday everyone! Today we are under the influence of Neptune turning direct after 5 long month of its retrograde cycle. Keep in mind that for up to a week before and after this date, you might feel a bit dreamy, disconnected, depressed, sluggish or scatter-brained. Neptune energy tends to take us into an intuitive, non-rational place which can stir up feelings and issues that have been deep in our unconscious mind. We are also still under the influence of a happy Leo Moon, which makes this a great day for play and activities that are heart centred. With that in mind, let’s take a look at what this week has in store for us.

Monday brings a change in tone, with the Moon moving into practical Virgo. Its the small details that seem to be more important to us now, in some cases more than they are in reality, which can lead to arguments over what seems like insignificant little things. The Sun also makes its move into upbeat Sagittarius today, so Happy Solar Return Sagittarians! With the Sun in Sagittarius our minds turn towards the future and limitless possibilities. Sagittarius has the effect of bringing an optimistic energy to our lives and enthusiasm as we start to explore our current confines and step out of our comfort zones. Even stubborn Taurean’s will feel that adventurous pull towards doing something new and changing their tried and true routines. We are challenged at this time to explore our spirituality and gain fresh perspectives and encouraged to reach beyond what we perceive to be our grasps.

Tuesday brings us a sextile between Mercury and Jupiter, where we find that we not only have loads of ideas but also have the words needed to express them. Putting all of those facts, ideas and thoughts into one cohesive stream becomes much easier and we may also find that we understand the big picture, the overall patterns in life’s everyday situations. This is a favourable influence for short trips, writing, teaching, studying, mailings, interviews, advertising and promotion, submitting applications and forms, and accurate observations. All in time for the upcoming Thanksgiving Day celebrations.

Wednesday starts off with a conjunction between Mercury and Saturn, a transit where we find a need to analyse what is essential in our lives as our main focus. This is a transit whose energy promotes serious and deeper communication as well as taking a more serious and realistic approach to our situations and life’s circumstances that we now find ourselves in. Some may feel restricted in their movements or learning efforts but this just means that we can have a sharper focus on what is necessary for us now. Wednesday evening brings the Moon into balancing Libra. The Moon in Libra creates this feeling of harmony and calm. We find we more easily connect to people, compromise is more likely and conflict less so. Its a time when we find it easier to understand and relate to others. We tend to be polite and diplomatic, and would rather avoid arguments. This is a good energy to be under as many will be travelling to their Thanksgiving destinations. We also have a square happening between Jupiter and Pluto, and this is a transit that pushes us to really want to succeed in whatever it is we are focused on, be it career, a project or personal goals. We do need to be careful that we don’t exceed out limits though, or appear to be overbearing in the process. Its a transit that can encourage us to be more assertive and less compromising.

Thursday, also known as “Black Friday”, when most people try to get out to do some major Xmas shopping, starts with a Void of Course Moon, so not a good time for making important decisions or starting important projects. Guess what? Shopping is also not favoured during a Void of Course Moon, so make sure you keep your receipts for everything you buy. Its one of those situations where you get home and the purchases you made don’t seem as great as they did in the store.

Friday brings us a conjunction between Venus and Pluto…talk about intense! This combo can really stir up the emotions. Deep seated doubts, fears, and emotions that have been bubbling just under the surface could now boil over. Questioning our ability about finding and keeping love can have us focusing on wanting to bring about changes. This can be a way in which we try to compensate for a low sense of self-worth. It’s definitely a time for cleaning out all that stands in the way of us finding true love. Others will find this a valuable opportunity to develop deeper connections with those close to them. Or, the intense and emotional influences of this duo could have you seeking out some unusual and intense love experiences. We also have a square happening between Venus and Jupiter as well, which gives us a more optimistic and generous vibe, but we need to be careful of not over-indulging.

Saturday brings us a Scorpio Moon, where emotional charge and sensitivity increases. Its a time where we need to be careful not to get swept away by irritability, mood-swings, hysteria, big and small excitements, and a sudden desire to quickly change everything. People tend to become more conscious of self and others, and see everything in dark tones with the Moon in Scorpio. We also have a trine between Mercury and Uranus. Under this transit we can experience unusual ideas, flashes of insight and seeing unexpected possibilities. It’s much easier to be open-minded right now, especially about insights that have eluded us. Our ability to see beyond our normal horizon of perception can bring visionary brainwaves, “Aha!” moments, as well as a fun side to our sense of humour. This is a great time to do some writing or other form of self-expression, especially if it’s spontaneous or involving technology.

Sunday is a quiet day with a Void of Course Moon happening in the late evening. Its a good day for recuperating from the busy Thanksgiving and Black Friday shopping week. So relax and do something enjoyable.

Week Ahead – Monday November 14th through Sunday November 20th

Fall_Leaves_Transparent_Picture

Happy Sunday everyone! We are now at the halfway mark for this month and the weeks seem to be speeding by. Some of us had a bit of snow already here in the UK, and the world seems to still be reeling from the results of the US Presidential Election. Should be interesting to see how this pans out! Today we are under the influence of a Taurus Moon, where we feel the tension of the past few days start to drop away. Use today to chill out a bit because tomorrow we will be putting that Taurean energy to use towards work. Let’s have a look at what is in store for this week.

Monday brings our Full Moon, which starts off Void of Course during the afternoon. We still have some of that Taurus energy at the start of Monday though, which means we are still willing to put some effort into manifesting our desires and needs. The Full Moon is the best time for doing work on letting go of the old and releasing the negative. Our basic instinct under a Gemini Moon, is to communicate, think, and learn. So magical workings tend to be best for spell work involving travel, communication and personal connections. The Sun is in Scorpio now as well, which means we want to delve into those deeper levels of understanding.

Tuesday brings the Moon into Gemini, where we become active, feel stronger emotional sensitivity and a need for socializing. We also have the tendency to fall under influences that can lead to the danger of getting of course and making mistakes. We tend to buy things that we don’t really need, waste time with contacts that are futile, and visit unnecessary places and events. Emotions may become amplified but shallow. We may easily meet new people now, however half of the contacts we make will later turn out to be empty. Some of us will try to do everything all at once, which later leaves us stuck with unfinished projects and ideas. Mercury is also sextile Mars today, a transit that gives us the potential to dig down deep and find the courage we need to speak our minds and stand up for what we believe is right. Mars can be impatient though so take care when driving today.

Wednesday is a quiet one, with just a Void of Course Moon starting mid-morning. By Thursday the Moon moves into Cancer, which makes it a great time for sharing some time and maybe a meal with someone you feel an emotional connection with. Under Cancer’s influence people become more sensitive and go deeper into their inner world, which takes on more importance at this time than the outer world. A feeling of belonging and safety is what motivates us under this influence. The Moon feels right at home in the sign of Cancer, as it rules the sign. This Moon position has much healing potential. Although insular by nature, our feelings run deep, making it an ideal time to get in touch with what motivates us. We want roots; we crave a sense of intimate connection that will.

Friday brings a challenging square between Mercury and Neptune that can bring an almost sleepy feel, making people not pay attention. You could either sleep in or just have a slower start to your day, but do be careful of those, and ourselves, not paying attention when travelling. Under this transit our mental focus can feel a bit clouded, confused or lethargic. Our mind struggles with trying to tackle and understand the limitless expanse of the Universe we live in along with what is formless and shifting. Listening more and talking less will help our inner sensitivity to be more receptive to what is being said. Sometimes it requires us to let go of what we think we know and understand about the situations in our lives in order to make ourselves more open to new perspectives that can change how we have been dealing with things.

Saturday may have us still feeling a bit discombobulated or disconnected, but we do have the Moon moving into heart opening Leo, where we tend to feel a bit more optimistic and energetic. It’s a good time for catching a movie or doing something fun that doesn’t require a lot of heavy focus. Venus will also be sextile Neptune today, which can open the flow of artistry, romance, creativity and faith. We find ourselves inspired as our creative Muse comes to the surface. It doesn’t mean that it will all come easily though! You are still going to need to apply a bit of effort and elbow grease to manifest those dreams and ideas!  Socially and romantically, this is a time when things seem to run more smoothly and may even seem a bit magical. So it’s important to be clear in your intentions and what you truly want. It’s also a time of blessings and abundance in all areas of our lives). But, there is also that risk of overspending, over indulging, or being overly optimistic which can lead to disappointments if we aren’t careful.

Sunday is the day the Neptune begins its forward movement after having been retrograde for around 5 months. The forward shift of ethereal Neptune is a subtle but significant event. The dreams associated with this idealistic planet may begin to rise from within to be expressed externally. Showing compassion, being charitable and engaging in spiritual practices are other positive manifestations of this change of direction. This is a time when our dreams become more vivid and can give us the insight we need into any situations we have been struggling with. Our intuition is heightened and our sensitivity can come from nowhere during this time, bringing flashes and sparks of “knowing”. This transit can also have the opposite effect on some, where their dreams seem to elude them and they feel cut off or disconnected from their usual intuitive senses.

The reason for this is that our right brain, which works with creativity, intuition, the non-rational, and faith is passing over that torch to our left brain where logic, rationality, linear thinking, and practicality rule. And we get a bit caught up in the swirling pool of transition now. The best way to cope is to not try and control the whole process. Let yourself be carried along even if it means you are pointed in a different direction for now.  Keep in mind that what we have learned over these past 5 months, the things related to our spirituality, creativity, imagination, inspiration, and intuition, can now be taken and applied to our lives more directly now. We get to channel this energy and create something fresh and new from what was or has been and this can be an uplifting and healing time for many.

Week Ahead – Monday November 7th through Sunday November 13th

Fall_Leaves_Transparent_Picture

Happy Sunday everyone! We’re in our second week now for November and getting closer to the Yule season. The USA also has it’s long talked about and awaited Election Day, which should be interesting to watch. Today we are are under the influence of an Aquarius Moon, which brings us feelings of openness with a sense of inner freedom. Our emotions become more alive and we feel we can express them more freely. What we can’t cope with are limitations being imposed upon us or pressure from others because our main focus is on our inner feelings of independence. Its a friendly and idealistic vibe mainly and we tend to enjoy interchanges with those we are not emotionally attached too. We also have the Asteroid Juno moving into Sagittarius. Juno defines where we seek balance, commitment and harmony, while helping us to understand where we balance our need for intimacy and commitment with our personal freedom. Juno in Sagittarius wants intellectual stimulation in a relationship now. Let’s take a look at what this week has in store for us then!

Monday brings a sextile between the Sun and Pluto. Under this transit we can feel our sense of purpose grow stronger, allowing us to tap into the deeper levels of our energy stores and determination. We can apply this determined effort towards promoting our ideas and could find that we are very persuasive with others. We do need to take care though that we are not coming across as too forceful or pushy. It’s a good energy for those situations where we need to make a strong impression, but not so much in cases where a more delicate touch is needed. A more enlightened approach is best for getting our ideas across now. Others are more open to new ideas when not feeling pressured or pushed.

Tuesday brings the Moon into a brief Void of Course, which should be interesting for Election Day in that Void of Course Moons aren’t sure how they feel just yet. The Moon then moves into Pisces in the evening, which is Hillary Clinton’s natal moon position. A Pisces Moon can bring about feelings of romance, heightened intuition, mystical and dreamy moods, and an interest in the unknown, religion and all that I magical. We tend to become softer, sentimental and more tender, speaking words of kindness and complimenting those we love. We also tend to have this deeper understanding of the hidden meaning of life, events and things, as well as more intimate perception of beauty, art, poetry and music.

Wednesday sees Mars moving into Aquarius, where it will remain until mid December. In Aquarius Mars become more inventive and innovative. This can be good for businesses who are looking to offer new services to people. Here is where we tend to feel less motivated about going after traditional goals, and more motivated to pursue spiritual or emotional drives.  We dislike confrontation during this trend. Our output is variable rather than straightforward, and our energy is similarly up and down.  Dynamic yet erratic energy levels, achieving our goals through hit or miss tactics, and impersonal expression of anger are characteristics of Mars in Aquarius.

Thursday brings us a fairly quiet day with a late night Void of Course Moon. In the wee hours of Friday we see the Moon making its move into fiery Aries. In Aries the Moon urges us to get physical and move our bodies to burn off some of that fiery energy. Some may actually feel this shift more than others. An Aries Moon tends to bring conflict more than most times, with emotional tensions growing, people becoming short-tempered and impulsive. Some may show a readiness and fearlessness to act in an extreme situation. Even the sweetest tempered person can become a bit mean under this moon. However, it becomes easier to shake old problem and the weight of tiresome responsibility. We want to free ourselves from everything that bothers us and makes our lives feel uneasy.

Saturday starts our weekend off with Venus moving into Capricorn, which is a good energy for having those serious talks in our relationships. Its an energy, however that is geared more towards business talks, lunches and the yearly company holiday gathering. Where both relationships and resources are concerned, now is the time to look at our commitments and make some new plans. We need to consider what is working and what is not and then take steps to change things or balance them out a bit more. The Moon will go Void of Course just after Noon, and remain there until the wee hours of Sunday. We have Mercury entering Sagittarius on Saturday as well. in Sagittarius will bring. When Mercury is in Sagittarius, our thinking shifts from a need to plumb the depths of any given situation to the desire to learn about a wide range of topics.
Our ideas, thoughts, inspirations, and communication all get a boost and are expanded.

Sunday morning brings the Moon into comforting Taurus, where we feel the tension of the past few days start to drop away. People tend to become calmer and peaceful. We feel secure and stable. There is also this tendency for our thoughts and reactions to slow down, making us feel a bit slow in getting ourselves going. This is the best time for taking care of the home, running errands, restocking supplies and tending to routine maintenance. Its best to hold off on important business now,as well as signing of contracts or important papers, because we may make mistakes due to a slowed down reaction and thinking process. Use today for those little pleasures you enjoy, or maybe do some work around the home.
