Week Ahead – Monday August 1st through Sunday August 7th

  • Posted on July 31, 2016 at 7:30 am

Happy Sunday everyone! Here we are, ready to start a new month, and the first part of August has a more playful vibe for us, whereas late August will be more focused on practical projects. We have a lot of different energies that will be in play over the next 4 weeks, but for now let’s have a look at what this coming week has in store for us!

Monday is the Pagan celebration of Lammas/Lughnasadh, a time for reaping the harvest that were sown a few months ago. We have a harmonious trine happening between the Sun and Saturn, which is a great combo for business or anything that needs a blending of heart and practical matters. The Sun is energy and Saturn is discipline, and the Trine is the most supportive transit of them all. We tend to feel more up to the challenge of tackling projects that require real discipline and organization. And our hard work can really pay off now! We also have a harmonious trine between Venus and Uranus. This is a transit where liberation and spontaneity flood into our relationships, resources, finances, and those little pleasure we so enjoy! We feel more at ease in the company of others and an old friend may be there to give you a boost, or to try something new.

Tuesday morning begins with a heart opening Leo Moon, where we tend to feel more energetic and optimistic. We feel like we can do anything! We crave compliments and appreciation, and are generous with kind words to others. Even better is that this will be the energies adding to our New Moon later tonight. In Astrology the New Moon us seen as a time for fresh starts and new beginnings. But in spell working the New Moon is also a time for getting rid of what is not wanted in our lives. It can be a time for reversing spells cast by another or used for warding and banishing work negative energies. I like to do a good home and chakra cleaning using reiki and some sage smudge sticks. With Leo adding it’s energies to this New Moon, it makes it a good time for igniting passion. Mars will be moving into Sagittarius this evening as well, where the energy seems to fly. With a Sagittarius Mars, our actions are motivated by our ideals. We are bothered by routine, quickly becoming restless if we feel confined. We have a love of adventure, and of conquest–this is the position of wanderlust. We start projects or challenges with gusto, although we may tend to abandon them rather quickly. This may be because we set our sights too high!

Wednesday is a quiet one for us but I wanted to point out that we have Venus and Mars challenging each other at this time, making it a good time determine whether what we say we desire is in harmony with our actions. Some may also feel a tug of war between their analytical ad intuitive sides of the brain, with one side wanting to focus on practical work and the other side just wanting to drift. What we need to do is create a plan that makes time for both.

Thursday brings the Moon into practical Virgo for the end of the work week, which means its a good time for getting organized and tending to all of the details in our life. Virgo is where people tend to become more rational and practical. Its the small details that seem to be more important to us now, in some cases more than they are in reality, which can lead to arguments over what seems like insignificant little things. We do become more disciplined and responsible, careful and diligent, but only with those small details. Its not a good time for making any large, risky or important decisions now because we tend to not be tapped into our intuition enough to foresee what the consequences of the future will be.

On Friday Venus joins the Moon in Virgo, making for a combination that can help bring us clarity to any relationship issues that have seemed a bit muddled or illusive. It can also help with simple organizational relationship issues, like who does what chores. This energy is good for home beautification projects or simple tasks that make your life easier down the road. One thing we do need to be careful of is not to nitpick in relationships.

Saturday brings us a mixed bag of energy, starting off with a Void of Course Moon that then moves into balancing Libra for the rest of our weekend, which promotes nice social and harmonious interactions. However, the morning still has a challenging energy in play with a Mercury square Saturn aspect that can make our brains a bit harder to turn off. Getting from point A to point B can be a challenge during this transit due to obstacles and delays. Communications may be blocked or delayed, and negative thinking could dominate at this time causing feelings of irritation.

Sunday is when that challenging energy between Venus and Mars is exact, so its not the best time to force any relationship issues, unless you want that person to go away of course! Its a transit that can make our diplomatic and receptive side a bit argumentative with our more decisive and assertive side. We may feel a battle of wills between our yin and yang sides here, or we could find a way to harness both of these energies creatively. Adding to this is an opposition between Mercury and Neptune, where inspired thinking, mental fantasy, imaginative ideas and lucid dreams are more likely to occur. Our perception can be a bit off though so we need to be careful.

Happy Sunday everyone! Here we are at the last week of July already, and we end this week and begin the new one under an energetic Aries Moon. So today makes a good one for getting our bodies moving as we find we are able to flow from one project to the next almost effortlessly. However, any project that need some long term stamina aren’t favoured under Aries’ energy. Let’s see what the rest of this week has in store for us.

Monday sees the asteroid Vesta moving into Cancer. Vesta’s placement in your natal chart shows you where you can focus your energies for the most benefit, how and where you can be dedicated. When Vesta is in Cancer we focus more on the home and domestic matters. Its also a good time for projects that need a bit of intuition and focusing on a situations emotional or feeling aspect. Vesta wants us to nurture and heal with warm compassion and unconditional love. We just need to take care that we don’t become so immersed in another’s pain and suffering that we take on that energy ourselves.

Tuesday brings the Moon into the more comforting sign of Taurus, where we start to feel the tensions of the past few days dropping away. We tend to feel calmer, secure and stable under Taurus. There is also this tendency for our thoughts and reactions to slow down, making us feel a bit slow in getting ourselves going. This is the best time for taking care of the home, running errands, restocking supplies and tending to routine maintenance. Its best to hold off on important business now,as well as signing of contracts or important papers, because we may make mistakes due to a slowed down reaction and thinking process.

Wednesday brings us a harmonious trine between Mercury and Uranus. Mental Mercury stimulates the planet of innovation that allows us to open up to new ways of looking at the world around us. This is a fun transit to work with, so expect unusual ideas, flashes of insight and seeing new possibilities in old situations. You might be inspired to experiment with something new or do something out of character. You might have an impulse to break free of old habits or constraints. This can be a very liberating transit that opens your mind to new possibilities and ideas. However, be careful that you don’t become so liberated and spontaneous that you become erratic, hyper or reckless.

Thursday brings the Moon in Gemini in the early evening, where we become active, feel stronger emotional sensitivity and a need for socializing. We also have the tendency to fall under influences that can lead to the danger of getting of course and making mistakes. We tend to buy things that we don’t really need, waste time with contacts that are futile, and visit unnecessary places and events. Emotions may become amplified but shallow. We may easily meet new people now, however half of the contacts we make will later turn out to be empty. Some of us will try to do everything all at once, which later leaves us stuck with unfinished projects and ideas.

Friday will hold some fairly quick challenges, which can include traffic accidents, wanting to get away from people who tend to talk too much but say too little, and we may have an overwhelming feeling to get out of work early. Many of us may not be able to get out of work early so try to limit the amount of interactions with people who are annoying. This is the day the Uranus turns Retrograde in the sign of Aries. Uranus going retrograde is often a turning point in situations involving issues of spontaneity, freedom, breaking free of old patterns, rebellion and expressing your personal uniqueness. It could feel a bit chaotic or erratic at times, or spontaneous and exciting, for up to a week before and after this date as well. Uranus’ ultimate agenda, however, is to clear the way for our true spirit to manifest in our lives. We could experience unexpected changes, flashes of insight, or disruption. We also have a challenging square between Mercury and Mars happening, which means hot debates, fiery speech and lots of arguments. We may experience this in forms of conflict or we may find these exchanges as challenging yet stimulating. We just need to remember to pace all of that mental energy. One of the things we need to watch out for here is that we may have a really short fuse, as will others around us.

Saturday starts our weekend off with the Moon moving into Cancer, which supports family and food. This energy makes us want to stay close to home and tend to home projects. We also have Mercury moving into practical Virgo, the sign that it will be turning retrograde in at the end of August. If you haven’t tackled removing clutter, organizing or doing a body cleanse yet, now is the time to do it. This is a time when we analyse and decide what is useful and what we deem to be impractical so this could be a weekend of clearing things out on many levels. Sunday is a quiet one in the skies, aside from the current energies at play already.

Week Ahead – Monday July 18th through Sunday July 24th

Happy Sunday everyone! I hope you are all enjoying your weekend where ever you may be. We have a Capricorn Moon that will be adding its energies later this evening, but until then the Sagittarius energy with us is great for adventurous, spiritual and philosophical activities. We also get a boost from a Sun/Mars trine that boosts our confidence levels and makes us feel that our instincts are more in tune. Now let’s have a look at what lies ahead for this week!

Monday starts off quiet, with the more responsible and structured energy of the Capricorn Moon with us. This means its time to get serious about work and any other practical projects that need doing. Its a good day for blending work and social activities though.

Tuesday brings our Full Moon in Capricorn, but its a bit complicated with the Sun in Cancer adding to this mix because both desire security, safety and both want to know exactly who they can and cannot count on. Adding to this is a wild card, revolutionary Uranus, which urges us to move out of our comfort zone. We also have a trine between Mercury and Saturn, which can be an excellent transit for mental work that involves accuracy and precision, however these things may be a bit dulled down.  Under this transit it may be easier to take a more practical, logical approach to any goals that need a problem solving approach.

Wednesday brings an Aquarius Moon, Which is supportive for meeting new people and participating in organizations and groups. An Aquarius Moon works towards the bigger picture and highest ideal by creating and environment that is win/win. Mars and Saturn are also in a trine, which gives us a period of time when it becomes easier to discipline ourselves. We are more in touch with our bodies now in that we can see them for what they are, and this will prompt people to begin, or re-start an exercise regime,

Thursday is fairly quiet in the skies but Friday brings us a Pisces Moon for the weekend, which is great for romance, creativity and mystical things. The Sun also enters Leo on Friday, so happy Solar Return to all of you Leo’s out there. The Sun moving into its very own sign means that its radiant vibes will be extra bright now. While this is particularly strong for Leo’s it can affect all signs as well. Leo brings the focus toward our individuality, our sense of identity, our creativity, self-esteem and self-expression. And Leo is fun! It wants to let our inner child out to play!

Sunday sees the Moon make its shift from dreamy and diffused Pisces to fired up Aries this afternoon, after a morning Void of Course session. Some may actually feel this shift more than others. An Aries Moon tends to bring conflict more than most times, with emotional tensions growing, people becoming short-tempered and impulsive. Some may show a readiness and fearlessness to act in an extreme situation. Even the sweetest tempered person can become a bit mean under this moon. However, it becomes easier to shake old problem and the weight of tiresome responsibility. We want to free ourselves from everything that bothers us and makes our lives feel uneasy. An Aries Moon can bring emotional vitality and the drive to act on our feelings. With the Moon in Aries we’re motivated by a strong desire to start fresh. We get this gut instinct to start something new, as well as the motivation to do so. Our pioneering impulses are strong as well under this influence, and we tend to feel more energetic, spontaneous, and enthusiastic. Many will need to do something physically active to burn off any extra energy.

Happy Sunday everyone! I hope today finds you all well. we are moving towards the halfway mark of July now. Today’s energies include a balancing Libra Moon, a Sun/Jupiter sextile, and a Mercury/Mars trine. All of these make for a nice social day, as well as one for doing something physical. Its a supportive energy for talking about our ambitions today too. So, make the most of today and get out and about. Let’s see what the rest of this week has in store for us.

Monday starts off with a challenging square between Mercury and Uranus, which means we could experience some flashes of insight that can bring fresh clarity our way. However the answers that we receive right now may not be what we want to hear because it will most likely disrupt those logical views of how things were. Its a time where news or information can come along that shakes us up, which isn’t always a bad thing. Especially if its something we needed to hear that can open us up to something we have been resisting. Do be cautious though under this transits influence. we run the risk of shooting off our mouths before we have actually thought about what we are saying, and this can bring about some reckless communication or ideas that are impulsive than usual bring more problems than they actually solve.

Tuesday starts off with a Void of Course Moon for most of the day, but the Moon will move into brooding Scorpio by the evening. Its at this time that our sensitivity and emotional charge increases, and we need to be careful to not get swept away by mood swings, irritability, hysteria, big and small excitements, and a sudden desire to quickly change everything. People tend to become more conscious of self and others, and see everything in dark tones with the Moon in Scorpio. We also have Venus moving into Leo today, where she will remain until August 5th. With Venus in Leo its time to open up our creative and playful sides. Venus wants heart centred activities under Leo. We also get a chance to show off our leadership skills now. Many may find that it will be hard to do anything that our heart is not into over these next few weeks. If you have anything serious that needs doing this week, make sure you get it sorted out by Thursday. the Scorpio Moon in play over the next couple of days make it a good time for activities that require research, intense focus and problem solving .

Wednesday is a quiet one for us where we can wrap up any of those serious tasks we have been trying to finish up before tomorrow. As Thursday begins, we have Mercury joining Venus in Leo. When communication planet Mercury struts through colourful Leo, our thinking, creativity, and self expression becomes more confident and grand. We want to express so much more than just mere facts and info…we want to tell a story! The way we perceive and experience life at this time can feel more vivid, fun, and somewhat dramatic.  The focus is now on the goal–and the more grand a goal the better! The details may not be quite as important now but bold concepts and expressing those ideas are. We are more expressive, even theatrical and given to speech-giving and story-telling under this influence. We are also more convincing and persuasive, as we exude confidence when we speak or write. We may not listen as well as we normally do under Mercury in Leo though.

Friday morning brings the Moon out of the more focused Scorpio and into the more optimistic and upbeat Sagittarius, just in time for the weekend, making it a great energy for heading out into nature or partying with friends. Saturday does bring us a bit of a challenge though, with the life giving Sun making a challenging transit to revolutionary Uranus. Under this energy we want to blow off the days responsibilities and out of our boring routine for a bit. Have some fun with this energy! we also have a conjunction between Mercury and Venus, a transit that is marked by receptive awareness, positive social connections, and diplomatic communication. That means having to negotiate any contracts, agreements, or mutual plans will go a lot more smoothly because all parties are focused on mutual balance to achieve an outcome that benefits all. Our words comfort and appease those around us (as do their words to us), and communication at this time is lighter and more pleasurable. Our communication is in sync and in harmony with those around us.

Sunday brings a harmonious trine between the Sun and Mars, making it a great energy for passionate activities. Under this transit we find it easier to lead rather than follow. Our confidence is higher, our instincts seem more in tune, and once we feel motivated to take action, success isn’t too far off. We tend to have a better idea of where we are going and feel confident about our path. There is a tendency though to want to get there quickly..so much so that we may miss some important detail that we will need later on.  We also have the asteroid Ceres, which represents our early nurturing and how we nurture others, moving into Taurus, where we want to nurture even more! We tend to be more affectionate and want to hold, touch, provide a sense of stability, security and comfort. And we crave those same things from others. Many show their nurturing style through creating an abundant and safe home environment for themselves and others. The Moon moves into the more structured and serious minded Capricorn in the evening, getting our heads ready for the start of the new work week.

Happy Sunday everyone! Hard to believe yet another month has zipped past us and we are starting the second half of 2016. Today we are under the influence of a homey feeling Cancer Moon, where we may retreat a bit into our inner world, such as family, hearth and home, and those we hold dear. We also have a trine between the Sun and Neptune, which can stimulate the imagination and is great for those who work in creative fields because you will find it much easier to express yourselves. We just need to take care that we don’t get lost in our daydreams. Let’s see what the week ahead has in store for us!

Monday begins with a Cancer New Moon, where we tend to crave connections, a good system of support and strong bonds. It’s also a creative energy, one where we are seeking stability and some structure. New Moons are a good time for new starts but we also need to make sure that we aren’t holding onto old issues. So if old issues or difficult emotions arise, don’t hide….let these things flow freely through you so that the healing process itself can be speeded up. This New Moon is a time for refreshing ourselves and for focusing on what our needs are. The Moon is at home in Cancer and can help us to connect with the Divine Mother. Some may notice Mother issues rising to the surface as well that need to be tended to.

Tuesday brings the Moon into heart opening Leo, where we feel more energetic and optimistic. We feel like we can do anything! We crave compliments and appreciation, and are generous with kind words to others. We also have a trine between Mercury and Neptune happening, which means imagination and intuition will be running high. Our minds open up more to dreams, imagination, and compassion. A highly creative time, this transit can make us feel as if our thoughts and ideas are flowing like magic through our heads.

Wednesday brings another beneficial trine our way, this one between Venus and Mars. Money planet Venus and ambitious Mars brings a favourable energy our way with this trine aspect. You will find it is easier now to balance out being assertive as well as receptive. Perfect for those situations where firm action is needed but with a gentler touch. The ability to attract what we desire brings a strong urge to act on manifesting these things in our lives. Some will find it easier to attract money and material things while others could go a bit overboard on the spending.

Thursday brings us a practical Virgo Moon to work with, where we tend to want to set things in order. Health matters can come up now, especially where our exercise and diet regimes are concerned. Its not a good time for making any large, risky or important decisions now because we tend to not be tapped into our intuition enough to foresee what the consequences of the future will be. We also notice the smaller parts that make up the whole, and instead of letting nagging details bother us, we might work on ironing them out so that we can feel more confident moving ahead. Taking care of business is a major theme where our emotional orientation is concerned. We also have a conjunction between the Sun and Mercury, which makes us want to communicate in a variety of ways. This is a transit that can make us feel a bit restless though. Adding to this is an opposition between Mercury and Pluto, which can make some feel like withholding info rather than sharing it. So a balance will be needed where communication is concerned. Lastly, we have a challenging square between Venus and Uranus, where we need to be careful of temptations like impulse buying and being a bit erratic with our resources.

Friday starts us off with an opposition between the Sun and Pluto, which can foster mistrust and power struggles. There is an upside to this though. It can awaken our creativity and consciousness which will allow us to tap into this potent and transformational energy. Add to this a sextile between Mercury and Jupiter, where we tend to find that we not only have loads of ideas but also have the words needed to express them.  Putting all of those facts, ideas and thoughts into one cohesive stream becomes much easier and we may also find that we understand the big picture, the overall patterns in life’s everyday situations.

Saturday is a quiet one in the skies for us and is probably a good one for being social and sharing ideas. Sunday brings the Moon into balancing Libra, so we may find we want to do a bit of pampering, or be pampered ourselves. The Sun will be in a sextile with Jupiter as well, where our ideas and plans become infused with clarity and optimism. We can better understand the “Big Picture” and what our place is in the big grand scheme of it all. Adding to this is a trine between Mercury and Mars, where we can experience enthusiasm and energetic communications. Our productivity levels seem to increase and some may find it soothing to be busy now.  Hands on activities seem to be best for today and we may find we can get a lot done now.
