WEEK AHEAD – Monday, June 27th through Sunday, July 3rd

  • Posted on June 26, 2016 at 7:30 am

Happy Sunday everyone! Here we are at the end of another month and entering the second half of the year. It really seems to have gone fast! Our weekend has been under the influence of a Pisces Moon, so doing things that expands us spiritually is a good focus. This can be anything from spiritual services to getting out in nature. We have a harmonious trine going on between Jupiter and Pluto as well, allowing us to be more open to transformative ideas. This is something that can give us the courage needed to release things that are holding us back. Mercury and Uranus are also in a sextile, making it a good time for making connections with people and things that are unique. Now, let’s see what lies ahead for the rest of this week!

Monday starts off with an Aries Moon, making many feel restless. You may need to find some physically active outlets to disperse that energy. Chiron will be going retrograde today as well. Many may feel the energies of this retrograde station for up to a week prior and after today. Chiron, also referred to as the “Wounded Healer” usually focuses on things like healing, health, and pain (spiritual, physical and psychological). Some may see some health issues coming to the fore during this time. It’s also a time when we have the opportunity to discover previously unrecognised abilities within ourselves. These are usually the most battered and beaten down parts of ourselves which are, in truth, our greatest strengths. They just have not been developed or nurtured so remain in a state of woundedness. For many this can be a turning point where issues of pain and woundedness are concerned so we need to make sure we take the time to heal and bring things back in balance in our lives. Adding to this is a trine between Venus and Neptune, bringing a boost for romance, creativity and our sense of oneness with nature’s beauty. This can be great socially and intimately because things tend to run more smoothly as well as adding a touch of magic to the pot. It’s important however to be very clear about what we truly want!

Tuesday brings a challenging square between Mercury and Chiron. With Mercury squaring off to Chiron we may find that our mental focus and perceptions feel a bit strained. We may find ourselves sitting on the fence an feeling unable to make choices and decisions. It may also be difficult to stay objective and balanced in our perspective and views, but by working with this we could find a new mental focus that gives us increased clarity. It may be tempting to sink into cynicism as a way to deal with what seems like a no-win situation. On the other hand, this transit could bring your mental perspective to a kind of “healing crisis” that forces you to get a better grip on the ideas, communication and frame of mind that have been problematic for you.

Wednesday starts off with a Void of Course Moon that will move into Taurus a couple of hours later, which can bring a more relaxed vibe to things. We also have Mercury moving into the watery sing of Cancer, where it will remain for the next 3 weeks. We can best use this influence to practice communicating our emotions. Mars will be ending its retrograde cycle today as well. As Mars begins to pick up speed again, we will notice that our assertiveness and renewed vision increases so that we can start to implement these new and big ideas. Just don’t try to force anything that isn’t ready to go just yet.

Thursday sees an opposition between Venus and Pluto, so we may experience challenges or feelings of great intensity. Now is the time to dive deep into those personal issues that are associated to our values, finances, resources and relationships. However, doing so means that you will have to delve beneath the surface of those issues in order to discover any patterns that you may not have noticed before. Such patterns can be an indication that we need to acknowledge and come to grips with our shadow shelves such as obsessions, hidden agendas and our most secret desires. This give us a chance to learn how we project our shadow selves onto other people via the way we interact, our expectations, fears and hopes.

Friday starts of with a Void of Course Moon, which will them move into Gemini just after Noon. When the Moon is in Gemini our basic instinct is to communicate, think, and share ideas. We are motivated by a desire for variety and by an instinctive curiosity. The Moon in Gemini is light-hearted, breezy, and curious, but it can also be restless and fickle. The Moon is the instinctual side of life, so when there’s a lunar Gemini mood, the trickster is afoot. Humour becomes a way of defusing super serious situations. This can also be a period of emotional change: feeling two ways at once without getting too deep into either polarity is possible. Habits are in a cycle of change; variety satisfies a deep inner need. Being on the go and keeping a finger to the winds of change make you feel in touch. We also have Mercury and Jupiter in a sextile, where we not only have loads of ideas but also have the words needed to express them. Putting all of those facts, ideas and thoughts into one cohesive stream becomes much easier and we may also find that we understand the big picture, the overall patterns in life’s everyday situations

Saturday is a quiet one for us, with a continuation of that Gemini Lunar energy. A Void of Course Moon starts off our early Sunday morning before shifting into the more peaceful sign of Cancer. We also have a trine between the Sun and Neptune, where we will find our imagination stimulated. Its a great energy for those who work in a creative field because they will find expressing themselves flows easily through their specific artistic outlet. We just need to be careful we don’t get too lost in daydreams now.

WEEK AHEAD – Monday, June 20th through Sunday, June 26th

  • Posted on June 19, 2016 at 7:30 am

Happy Sunday and Happy Father’s Day to all of you Dad’s out there! Its a quiet one for the end of the weekend, with the upbeat vibes of the Sagittarius Moon still with us. Its a good day for getting outdoors, having a picnic or BBQ if the weather allows. So, go do something fun, whether you are a Dad or not! Let’s have a look at what this week has in store for us now.

Monday is our Summer Solstice and we have a Sagittarius Full Moon beginning just a few hours prior to this. We also have that Grand Cross pattern that has been building up for the past few days, motivating and pushing us to be flexible and adapt to the constant changes happening in our lives right now. We may feel pulled between wanting more adventure in our life and being practical. The way to cope? Stay responsible while you are creating more freedom. The Moon will be moving into the more stable sign of Capricorn later in the day, which will help things out a bit. The Sun moves into Cancer later in the day as well, and we have an opposition between Mercury and Saturn, creating some challenges where communications are concerned. For those of us who are prone to depression and low self esteem, you will need to give yourself a bit of space and love, because those feelings can be amplified during this transit. Adding to this is a square between Mercury and Neptune, making our mental focus a bit on the cloudy. Lethargic and confused side. So not the best energies for the start of the work week. Go easy on yourselves if you are feeling a bit out of balance, this too shall pass.

Tuesday is a quiet one that won’t add any extra chaos to the mix. However, Wednesday will be bringing us a bit of mental overload with a square between Mercury and Jupiter taking place. If you can get away from work or mental activities early, do it. The Moon will be moving into Aquarius, supporting group activities, meeting up with friends and making new ones.

Thursday is another quiet one for us, and Friday brings us a Void of Course Moon late in the afternoon. We still have that Aquarius Moon energy in play for a meeting up with friends and socializing though, so make the best of it while its there.

Saturday brings the Moon into the quieter sign if Pisces, making the weekend a good one for romance, spiritual endeavours and visiting places that ease the soul. On Sunday we have a trine between Jupiter and Pluto, where we find that Jupiter’s quest for truth, wisdom and freedom works in balance with Pluto’s cycle of destruction, transformation and renewal. Adding to this is a sextile between Mercury and Uranus, where our thoughts become inventive, original, and we may secretly enjoy shocking those around us with some of our more outrageous opinions and insights.  It’s all in good fun though!  This is a time when we enjoy making connections, especially with people who bring something different and unique to the table.  We want to stay busy and be on the move.  Any plans that revolve around creating something new and fresh gives us that motivation and excitement we need to create the time and space for them.  It’s a good day for stimulating the mind with new and interesting things.

WEEK AHEAD – Monday, June 13th through Sunday, June 19th

  • Posted on June 12, 2016 at 7:30 am

Happy Sunday everyone! We are getting to the midway point of June now and we have Mercury entering its favourite sign, Gemini today. Mercury will be there until the 29th, so we have a few weeks that will bring us some mental clarity, along with an abundance of new ideas and ways to communicate them. Mercury and Gemini bring a flirtatious vibe as well, so be careful not to jump right in to new relationships or business opportunities just yet. Now lets see what the rest of this week has in store for us.

As we start off our Monday the Moon will be in balancing Libra and dreamy Neptune will be slowing down to start its 5 month retrograde cycle. During this time we need to make certain that we are seeing people and ideas for what they truly are and not getting ourselves lost in a fantasy way of perceiving them. We tend to feel a thicker concentration of Neptune energy for about a week prior and a week after this day. Things like having vivid dreams, an active imagination, feeling foggy headed and confused at times and then feel our intuition flowing freely at others all fall under this transits influence. Some may experience a turning point in a situation that has been unfolding over the past few months, especially instances that require us to surrender to something that is much greater than ourselves.

Something else that we may experience are a sense of longing, disappointment, disillusionment, depression, low energy and fatigue..all as a result of us coming to some internal acceptance/resignation regarding what really needs to be done in our lives. Others may suddenly feel a sense of relief or as if a burden has been lifted. Venus will also be in a challenging square with Chiron, causing us to feel that we are forced to make some adjustments in our relationships or finances. We may find that these areas are not balancing out and coming together as we would want them. That feeling of “cant’ win for losing” could be a familiar one under this transit as we find the more we try, the more we feel we are going round in circles.

Tuesday brings a fun little transit between the Sun and Uranus, where we become more open to being spontaneous and others seem to appreciate our quirkiness a bit more. Our sense of humour is finely tuned and we have a willingness to adapt to new circumstances, ideas, and unfamiliar situations that can get us just the right attention.  Breaking out of old and outworn habits is a good goal during this transit as we seek out new things and experiment with things that may seem out of character. So the early week so far has supportive energies for sharing ideas and social conversations.

As we hit Wednesday the energy will change and favour projects that need in-depth research and intense focus. The Moon moves into Scorpio now and we have a square aspect between the Sun and Chiron. When these two planets come together in a challenged position we tend to find our patience and confidence feels a bit strained as we feel a need to break free of chronic constraints. Motivation and self esteem can drop but remember we have that energy from the Sun and Uranus to help us out here too. So it won’t feel as bad as normal.

Thursday is a quiet day for us, but Friday becomes a bit more complicated where relationships and finances are concerned as Venus moves into Cancer. Under the watery sign of Cancer we find that our relationships shift to family, loved ones, and those in our support group for a bit.  We want to feel secure and this need could manifest in many ways now. Directly it come through as feeling vulnerable, and indirectly we can feel defensive. We also become protective of what is close to us and what makes us feel secure, such as finances, possessions, and resources. One things to be aware of is the need to be able to be kind but not clingy. Adding to this is a square between Saturn and Neptune, a transit that sees reality meeting illusions, more so if we have something to hide. Even those who present themselves in the most transparent of ways may encounter situations that are difficult to comprehend and may involve misunderstandings or even deceptions.

Saturday brings in a bit more optimistic and upbeat energy when the Moon moves into Sagittarius, which can help us bounce back from the week’s challenges using some humour. Its a good weekend to get away into nature or have a party to let off some steam. With Father’s Day on Sunday, it makes a nice energy for taking Dad out somewhere different, maybe even enjoy a bit of quality time going fishing 😉

WEEK AHEAD – Monday, June 6th through Sunday, June 12th

  • Posted on June 5, 2016 at 7:30 am

Happy Sunday once again everyone! We are into our second week of June already, which started off with the energizing energies from the Sun making some challenges to Neptune and Saturn. This past week, some of you may have felt tired or possibly experienced problems with sleep. As this week closed we also had Venus making the same challenges where our value system is concerned. Its been about what we are ready to release now. We’ve had the Moon in Gemini this weekend, bringing some playful and curious energy that wanted us to keep on the move. Something else we will be dealing with over the next few weeks is the first Grand Mutable Cross of the month. The next one will occur at the summer solstice. A Grand Cross pattern tends to pull us apart in 4 different directions, then puts us back together better than before. The mutable signs of Gemini, Virgo, Pisces and Sagittarius all work to teach us to be more flexible and to adapt to changes. Sounds like fun! Now let’s take a look at what this week has in store for us.

Monday starts off with a Cancer Moon, bringing a sense of peace after the restless vibes of the Gemini Moon. Cancer is a nurturing energy and it makes a good day to spend with loved ones. We also have Venus and the Sun in a social conjunction, which is also supportive of spending quality time with those we feel closest to. Whether you find yourself spending time with others or on your own, pursuing the things you love and enjoy comes easily now. Tuesday adds to this nurturing relationship aspect as the asteroid Juno, which focuses on partnerships, moves into Libra, which also focuses on partnerships and bringing balance to them.

On Wednesday morning the Moon will be Void of Course, before moving into heart opening Leo, where we crave to be noticed for our special qualities and are generous with our words to others. Its a fun and flirty Moon indeed. Mercury will be sextile the wounded healer, Chiron today too. brings us the opportunity to think and reflect on our pain as well as to talk about it. And sometimes that is all that is needed to get the ball rolling on healing ourselves. However, we will need to put a bit of effort into healing if we want something positive to come from this transit. It’s a time where our spirits feel a bit more uplifted and buoyant because we feel, for once, that we can actually see that light at the end of the tunnel…and no it isn’t a train coming to run us down either!

Thursday brings a battle of wits between Mercury and Mars, and we need to be careful here. Watch out for the impulse to make verbal comments or take action out of anger. Before you speak, take a deep breath! We tend to speak with more passion under this transit, but what we say can come across as combative now.

Friday morning starts off with a Void of Course Moon that will shift into practical Virgo by the afternoon. This will be with us for the weekend, and under a Virgo Moon we feel better when we are accomplishing something tangible. Virgo likes to organize, clean, simplify things and fix stuff.

Saturday is a quiet one for us, where we can continue with those Virgo related activities. There is also a social vibe in the air and we need to keep things in balance, making time for both play and practical tasks. On Sunday, Mercury moves into talkative Gemini, where it doubles that mental energy. Mercury is the planetary ruler of Gemini, so the mind wants to fly fast and free. Our perceptions and communications can come blowing through like a fresh breeze and this can create a variety of ideas in our heads, but not necessarily the productive application to putting those ideas in play. We can find it easier to articulate our words, collect and analyse our thoughts, and sharpen our focus.

Our minds are going so fast now that our hands and mouths can’t keep up. And this can result in sloppy handwriting and even sloppier dialogue if we are not careful. The tendency to just blurt something out without thinking can happen more under this transit.

On the upside though, this transit turns our brain into an information super highway! A great time for any project that needs attention to details to find solutions or thinking outside the box. Just keep in mind that it will be important to give your brain some time to turn off from time to time under this transit. Lastly, we have Venus and Uranus in a sextile, which can be an unpredictable transit and can feel quite exciting for the social aspects of our lives. We may find that enjoyment pops up where we least expect it. Anything that breaks away from our routines will feel like a very welcome change. Just be careful that you don’t allow boredom to push you towards doing anything too reckless.
