What’s New This Month

April Blessings everyone! It seems like Mother Nature has pulled a big old April Fools’s joke on us with this crazy weather. We had a couple of spring like days and now its back to cold and damp again. My poor plants and I are not amused. But at least we are still drawing closer to warmer days at this point.  This month sees Mars turning retrograde, bringing us to look at our priorities, goals and philosophies to see if they still hold interest to us.  A lot of you may decide to let go of goals that you thought, at the time, you wanted to manifest so that you can turn in a new direction.  And some of us will raise their level of ambition towards their existing goals to bring them into being.  We also have Venus in Aries for a good part of the month, an energy that can assist us in acting on our desires, needs and values.

We also celebrate Easter, Earth Day, St. George’s Day this month and, of course, April Fool’s Day today. And we certainly seem to be getting a lot of “spring cleaning” energy around us lately too. April is usually when I start my Spring cleaning and can start transplanting some of my herbs to my outside garden. Its been left a little late this spring because of the uncertain weather but it will get there! Clearing the home, the work space, and clearing out things within can have such a purging effect on the soul that often brings a sense of hope as we de-clutter and free up our space. It’s been proven that clutter can affect our emotional well-being and can bring on feelings of depression and stagnation. And what better way to clear all that negative energy than to have a bit of Reiki to help boost that clearing out process. I like to open the windows and smudge with Sage to clear energy in the home. I use a bit of Reiki as I go through the house as well. Feng Shui is another great tool to help redirect or neutralize any “off” energies too.

This month I have some great readings for Spring: “The Spring Cleaning” and “Spring Flower” tarot readings. In honour of April Fool’s Day there is the “Fools Journey” and “Fool’s Choice” readings along with the “Heart of Faery” and a Feng Shui reading.  All of these can be found in the   Monthly Specialssection along with a few other inspirational readings to help bring balance into your life.  You can have a browse through the many specialized readings I offer on the  Tarot Readings page.  Tarot’s Life Path & Personal Growthsection is a good place to start!  Or take a wander through the various Oracle readings on my site, like Rune, Angel, Faery and Animal Totem readings.  All of these categories can be found on the main Reading Room page.  Don’t forget to check out the other areas on the Readings page, like the Oracles,Rune and Animal Medicine Cards sections.

I have a new addition to my site, Faery Trinkets where I will have my Barefoot Sandals, bracelets, earrings, necklaces and crochet items on display for sale. I’ll be adding some crocheted items as well soon, and you can also find these items in my Etsy shop.
In the Reiki/Energy Work section you can find reiki and energy work to help give you a bit of a boost. You can find Reiki sessions, Chakra Healing and Attunements, Violet Flame healing, and the Avalon Crown of Success healing. Reiki is great for flushing out the old energies that may be lingering both in our own energetic bodies and the environment around us.

WEEK AHEAD – Monday, March 28th through Sunday, April 3rd

Happy Sunday and Happy Easter everyone! We’re just about to wrap up another month as we move into the early days of Spring. Its a quiet one for us today with just a Void of Course Moon, perfect for an Easter Sunday of spending time with loved one. Let’s have a look at what this week has in store for us.

Monday starts off with an adventurous Sagittarius Moon that will be with us for the next couple of days. On the business side of things, Sagittarius favours marketing and sales. Its also a great time for taking a trip outdoors and getting into nature. Tuesday brings much of the same energy, but we start to have a variety of mental energy that will be with through Thursday. Its a good energy to start working on challenges and problems, but not a good time to try to force any issues that just aren’t ready to budge yet.

Wednesday brings a more structured energy as the Moon moves into Capricorn, so we can focus on finding solutions and getting the process rolling on sorting them out. This is a more socially reserved energy that is best used for those tasks that require some discipline. We have a trine going on between Mercury and Saturn, an excellent transit for mental work that involves accuracy and precision. It may be best to look at ways you can bring closure to any finished goals and perhaps map out some plans for new ones. It blends well with Capricorn’s practical and analytical side. Adding to this is a challenging square between Mercury and Pluto. Square aspects usually bring challenges or obstacles that we need to overcome. Mercury Square Pluto is no exception here and we need to be cautious with this transit with impulsive and obsessive interaction between quick to speak Mercury and burn your bridges Pluto.

Hidden forces can be brought to light and also trigger some psychological energies within that could in effect change our lives. Also, watch out for dramatic outbursts and events, both personally and globally.

Thursday looks like a good day for stepping away from our normal routines for a bit. Its also a good idea to steer clear of people who have issues with control and micro-managing. We have Mercury conjunct Uranus in play, which tends to bring about spontaneous, radical, and unusual means of thinking and communicating. Our perceptions are more flexible and open-minded, and this can have us seeing things with our eyes wide open…which can be a bit of a shock to the system for some. On a positive note, this transits energy can set lose our creativity and inspire us, especially when we are looking ahead at our future. It’s a good energy for gatherings which can include community, family, friends and groups.

Friday is a quiet one with a late afternoon Void of Course Moon. In the wee hours of Saturday the Moon will be shifting into Aquarius, and this energy will be with us for the entire weekend. Aquarius can be a bit cold and detached, but with it we gain an instinctive need for improvement and are drawn to the new and unusual aspects that life has to offer. Its a good energy for social gatherings and any kind of brainstorming, new ideas and progressive changes in a group. Some may feel an impulsive need to break away from any relationships or situations that feel claustrophobic. We tend to focus on the bigger picture rather than personal agendas. So use this weekend to be social and experience new and interesting things.

Happy Sunday and Ostara Blessings all! Here we are at the official first day of spring, which started yesterday for those in the USA. Time to get the lawn mowers and garden equipment out, check on any seedlings we planted indoors that will soon be ready to go outside and start bringing out the garden furniture! Its also the solar return for all of you Aries folks. We have a nice alignment between Venus and Neptune happening today, a combination that is supportive of creativity, romance and the divine feminine. The Moon will be moving into Virgo this afternoon, so we may feel like focusing on practical stuff as we get ready for the coming work week. Let’s see what is in store for us…

Our Monday starts off quiet but still has that Virgo Moon energy to work with, and work you will be! The next two days are great for accomplishing practical goals and doing some hard work. On Tuesday Mercury will be joining the Sun in Aries, where it will remain until the first week of April. This is a great time to benefit from exploring new opportunities and new methods of doing things. However, be careful to avoid making impulsive comments or impatience. Aries can make Mercury somewhat direct in communication and we develop a “Just do it!” attitude. We aren’t interested in the small details or storytelling of conversations. We just want people to get to the point. This transit does help us find the courage and words necessary to express ourselves though, which is good for those who struggle in this area.

On Wednesday the Moon moves into balancing Libra for our Full Moon/Lunar Eclipse. So we have this Libra/Aries mix going on that can make a person feel a bit pulled in two directions. Libra wants relationships but Aries just wants its independence. So this Lunar Eclipse will be about re-balancing between how much of ourselves we share vs. our own needs. We also have a challenging square between Jupiter and Saturn today It’s an aspect that shows it is time to evaluate our development since 5 years ago, 10 years ago, and 15 years ago. You may asking yourself “What development?” and 5 years may seem like a long time to think back and compare to what is happening in the present day. Think back to any ending of hopes and dreams that cleared the way for new ones to grow. These may now be taking shape you. Or some of you may have experienced the manifestation of those hopes and dreams, which would have required a bit of re-orientating one’s direction and actions in order to apply what has been building up. This is the time to look as the results of those experiences. Lastly, we have a conjunction between the Sun and Mercury, an energy that compels us to communicate in all forms. Some may find it hard to rest or quiet their minds at this time.

Thursday brings a trine between Mercury and Mars, a transit that supports philosophical conversations. This transit also has a physical aspect that makes us want to be active too. Its a good time for learning something new and honing our skills. The Moon will be Void of Course as we get into the later evening.

Friday sees Saturn starting its Retrograde cycle, which will last until early August. For up to a week prior and after today we may find that our physical and emotional energy is feeling somewhat heavy, stuck, serious or sad. We can sometimes feel held back by circumstances or pressured by people or situations involving structure, rules, authority figures, expectations and responsibilities. Over these next 4 months we will find that our goals and ambitions could benefit from some development and planning on a deeper level. Its a good time for refining and reworking our goals in order to determine how we can achieve them. The Moon will be in Scorpio later this evening, bringing intensity to the emotions. It can give us a bit of a boost to get to the core of any issues that have been bugging us though. We’re not done yet! Venus and Jupiter are in an opposition, bringing challenges to our relationships when expectations become a bit overblown. Venus will also be square Saturn, making it feel difficult to relate to others. Try not to take a person’s coolness in attitude to heart right now though.

Saturday brings a brief Sun trine Mars transit that boosts our ability to assert ourselves and will make us want to rise early and get the day going. Add to this is a sextile between Mercury and Pluto, fuelling our communication with passion and sharpening our intuition in such a way, as to feel out what others may be thinking. Sunday starts with a Void of Course, and it is the UK’s day to turn those clocks ahead one hour for Daylight Savings! Sunday may have some feeling a bit lethargic today, so Sunday makes a good one for just relaxing and recharging our internal batteries.

WEEK AHEAD – Monday, March 14th through Sunday, March 20th

Happy Sunday everyone! We nearly at the halfway mark of this month and getting closer to the official start of spring. Also, its Daylight Savings Time for the USA so don’t forget to move those clocks ahead an hour. The UK will be catching up on the 27th of this month. We have a quiet day in the skies for our Sunday, aside from a Void of Course Moon that will move into restless Gemini later this evening to kick off the work week. Let’s have a look at what this week has in store for us!

Monday begins under the energy of the Gemini Moon, making the next couple of days good for short tasks and quick calls. We also have a challenging square between Mercury and Saturn which can make getting from point A to B somewhat of a challenge with delays and obstacles cropping up unexpectedly. Try to plan your day with a bit of room to be flexible. Its also a transit that is dominated by negative thinking that can cause us frustration over little things, like a project we thought was done need to be revised or people coming across of insensitive, overly critical and sarcastic. The trick here is to try not to take everything too seriously, otherwise we could end up looking for issues where there are none. One thing we need to do is say no when we need to and not overtax ourselves trying to be a people pleaser. We have a square going on between Venus and Mars as well that can bring tension into relationships.

Tuesday brings Mercury and Pluto into a sextile, fuelling our communication by our passion. Its a good energy that can help get people on your side with idea by first finding some common ground. Just remember not to be too pushy with your persuasions. We also have an opposition between Mercury and Jupiter, where our words seem to come easily, in some cases a bit too easily. Our judgement regarding the validity of our ideas can be a bit off right now as well. We have an evening Void of Course Moon to wrap up the day.

Wednesday dawns with a Cancer Moon, which brings us a shift from Gemini’s restlessness to a need for peace and quiet. We are motivated by feelings of security, safety and belonging, making it a good time to connect with those people and things that nurture these needs. We also have a helpful trine between expansive Jupiter and transformative Pluto. Under this transit we find that Jupiter’s quest for truth, wisdom and freedom works in balance with Pluto’s cycle of destruction, transformation and renewal. While the effect of this energy isn’t always obvious, it does give us access to far reaching vision and optimism that can help us in dealing with the letting go of baggage in a more positive way, while allowing us to see these life changes at a deeper level as it shines a light in those dark corners that we once found frightening and unfamiliar.

Thursday is quiet in the skies for St. Patrick’s Day, but the Moon will be moving into heart opening Leo Friday morning that supports heart centred and creative activities through the weekend.

Depending on where you live, Saturday/Sunday is the Spring Equinox with the Sun moving into Aries. We have some strong fire and water elements happening for the next three months now, focusing on passions and emotions. We will need to take care that we don’t become so entrenched in other people’s needs that we end up neglecting our own. Boundaries are needed along with some flexibility that allows us to adapt to upcoming changes in our situations.

The Moon moves into practical Virgo Sunday afternoon, where we tend to gravitate towards activities that are practical, like spring cleaning and getting organized. Lastly we have a conjunction between Venus and Neptune, which can inspire a lot of creativity as well as healing faith in the areas of abundance and love. But we need stay realistic in our approach to the views and actions necessary to fully realize our potential. So assessing these areas won’t come easily right now.

WEEK AHEAD – Monday, March 7th through Sunday, March 13th

  • Posted on March 6, 2016 at 7:30 am

Happy Sunday everyone! I hope this weekends finds you all well. We have some social energy with us today with the Moon still being in Aquarius, so its a good one for social conversations and keeping things light. We also have Mars moving into Sagittarius today, which can help motivate us to learn something new at this time, or share our knowledge with others. It can be a restless energy at time though, especially when stuck with the same old routines. Something we may see around the world during Mars’ time in Sagittarius are causes being defended and people being motivated to take a stand. So its a few weeks to watch and see what happens. Lastly, we have the Sun and Saturn in a challenging square, which will highlight those areas where we need to accept our own limitations, boundaries, and expectations. We may find ourselves faced with the consequences of avoiding some task or obligation, or at least receive a warning of what could happen should we continue to avoid them. Another possibility could be having to accept a situation that means accepting responsibility that we don’t want, or that restricts our freedom in some way. Let’s see what lies ahead for the coming week now.

On Monday the Moon moves into mystical Pisces, making us not want to face reality with its dreamy vibe. Its a great energy for things that require a bit of imagination though and our intuition tends to be much higher under a Pisces Moon. We also have a sextile between the Sun and Pluto for today. Under this transit we can feel our sense of purpose grow stronger, allowing us to tap into the deeper levels of our energy stores and determination. We also gain the ability to be able to see below the surface of things.  We may not be able to understand what it is we are seeing but we can often get to the core of unconscious patterns that need changing.  Some of the insights we gain now may not bring about a “light bulb” moment until later down the line. Lastly, we have Vesta moving into Taurus reminding us of our need to withdraw from time to time and allow healing to take place.

Tuesday brings a challenging opposition between the Sun and Jupiter, which can be a feel good transit for the most part, but to the point of over reaching, over estimating our abilities, indulging in extravagances or going overboard. We have a challenging T-Square going on at this time too, and its one that can have us feeling pulled in different directions. First there is Pisces, who just wants to disengage from the world so that it can tune into a deeper energy. Then we have practical Virgo reminding us of that list of chores we have to complete and wants to do some spring cleaning. Lastly is Sagittarius who wants to focus on our dreams and goals but with caution. The best way to cope is to be open minded and go with the flow.

Wednesday is our New Moon/Solar Eclipse. Things start out with a Void of Course New Moon that will move into Aries later this evening. But we still have that Pisces energy in play too. When we have a New Moon we also have the Sun in the same sign, which is why these energies are so focused and potent. So before the Moon shifts into Aries, the Pisces energy will be at its strongest. This is also a Solar Eclipse and eclipses are known as a kind of dramatic wild card that the Universe pulls out when it wants us to pay more attention to those areas in our lives that need change. Its fairly normal to experience some kind of ending and beginning during an eclipse cycle too. And its a time to expect the unexpected to pop up in our lives. The eclipses job is to shine a bright light into those areas of life where we need to uncover the truth, sometimes in a way that can be quite startling.

Thursday is a quiet one for us before the Moon moves into Taurus on Friday and for the weekend. It makes a good time for purchasing tangible items that will last, like investments for the home. We also want to enjoy life’s little pleasures now too. Mercury and Neptune are in a conjunction as well, and will be there for a few days. It can be a highly creative combo for those that have the inkling to tap into this energy.

Saturday sees the planet of love, Venus moving into Pisces, where she is quite comfy. Its a very romantic combo but can also bring out illusion and fantasy. Mainly its a good day for pampering ourselves. Our creativity, sense of compassion, and feelings of harmony are all affected by the energy of Venus moving through Pisces. It’s a really great energy for those who are artists, writers, musicians, or anyone who deals in the art of imagination. Sunday is Daylight Savings in the USA! We have the Moon shifting into Gemini, where we want to communicate more and share ideas. Our attention span can be a bit shorter under this energy though. So short and interesting tasks are the order of the day.
