WEEK AHEAD – Monday, February 29th through Sunday, March 6th

Happy Sunday everyone! It looks like another month is ending and a new one beginning, drawing us ever closer to spring and warmer temperatures. Our Sunday has a dreamy mystical vibe to it due to an alignment between the Sun and Neptune, which are both in Pisces right now. Many find that they have vivid dreams as their intuition gets a boost during this time, so it may pay to write them down and mull them over later. It can also help us take a more creative and inspired approach to solving things. Mainly, its a day for taking care of ourselves and our well-being, so make the most of it before the work week starts. Let’s take a look at what’s in store for us.

Monday is fairly quiet until the Moon goes Void of Course at the start of the evening and then shifts into Sagittarius just before midnight. Sagittarius gives us an upbeat and optimistic energy that will be with us for the next couple of days. Its a good time for exploring the world around us as our focus shifts from within ourselves to what exciting things the environment has to offer. Try to make some time for play over these next couple of days to appease our inner adventurer.

Tuesday, our first day of March, brings us a harmonious sextile between Venus and structured Saturn, aiding us in developing relationships that are practical and business oriented. This is a transit that can assist us in finding stability in both our financial and relationship aspects of life, making structure and commitment more achievable and easier to approach. For those who tend to suffer from depression, take a bit of extra care that you don’t become so grounded and practical that you lose touch with your sense of potential, inspiration and hope.

Wednesday starts the retrograde cycle of the asteroid Juno, who is sitting in Scorpio at this time. Juno has been referred to as the Goddess of loyalty and represents our ideal partnerships, those that are fair and equal. When Juno turns retrograde we may find ourselves, or our significant other, unable to live up to these ideals. Areas of a relationship are tested as issues come up, such as loyalty, infidelity, marriage and divorce, abuse, feminine beauty and fertility. Relationships that are not based in strength and integrity will sometimes break up during this cycle if no way to salvage things can be found. So this retrograde period is a time for you and your other half to discover just how good a partner you both are.

Thursday begins with a Void of Course Moon in the wee hours before dawn and then shifts into Capricorn mid-morning, where we tend to become more aware of a need for planning and structure. So these next couple of days are good ones for making plans, collaborating with others, putting proposals together and making choices based on what looks to be solid and long lasting. Adding to this is a sextile between Venus and Uranus, which tends to be an unpredictable transit that can bring a bit of excitement to the more social aspects of our lives. Areas of life that Venus rules over (pleasure, resources, love and finances) could benefit now by a bit of spontaneity. If these are areas that have felt a bit stale lately, now is the time to try out some totally different approaches to the problems.

Friday ends the work week, for most, on a quiet note but we still have those social energies and aspects happening that make it a good night to have a bit of fun. Saturday sees communications planet Mercury move into Pisces, where our thinking processes become visual, intuitive, and imaginative. Our brainy Mercury is less interested in the facts and more in touch with feelings at this time. This is a great transit for poets, artists, healers, spiritual seekers and all those who don’t rely on objective evidence to shape reality. We have a very brief Void of Course Moon in the afternoon that quickly shifts into Aquarius, bringing emotional detachment and coolness to our interactions with others. We tend to be drawn to what is new and unusual at this time, so try something new this weekend. Its a good weekend with an energy that promotes social gatherings. Mercury will be in a challenging square with Mars today too, a transit that is often characterized by hot debates, fiery speech and lots of arguments. We may experience this in forms of conflict or we may find these exchanges as challenging yet stimulating. We just need to remember to pace all of that mental energy.

Sunday is the day that warrior planet Mars moves into Sagittarius, where our actions are motivated by our ideals. We are bothered by routine, quickly becoming restless if we feel confined. We have a love of adventure, and of conquest–this is the position of wanderlust. We start projects or challenges with gusto, although we may tend to abandon them rather quickly. This may be because we set our sights too high! We may see this culminating around the world in situations where others are fighting for their independence. Or groups in society that have had enough of restrictive rules and oppression suddenly band together and do something to create change over these next few weeks. We also have a brief square between the Sun and Saturn today. These transits tend to be brief influences that usually last around a day. So today we have the Sun making a square with Saturn which will highlight those areas where we need to accept our own limitations, boundaries, and expectations. It will definitely be a day to watch!

WEEK AHEAD – Monday, February 22nd through Sunday, February 28th

Happy Sunday everyone! I hope you have all had a nice weekend and are ready for the week ahead. Our Sunday is a pleasant one that favours social interactions, so try to get out there and interact with the world around you if you can. As we get towards Sunday evening many may find they feel more like retreating emotionally. Now, let’s take a look at what this week has in store for us!

Monday starts out with a Void of Course Moon in the wee hours. The Moon will then move into Virgo just before Noon and then hit its Full lunation in the early evening. This is a Full Moon that asks us to balance Virgo’s analytical energy with those intuitive vibes coming from the Pisces Sun. Think of an intuitive and an engineer type working together in balance. Its also a Full Moon that is very supportive of those who work in the art of spiritual healing because we have energies from Neptune mingling with Ceres now as well. Neptune is all about compassion, forgiveness, our intuition and the divine feminine and Ceres is also known for her healing energies too.

Tuesday is a quiet one for us, but something to take note of is that the challenge between Uranus and Pluto, which has been happening since 2012, is now coming to its final stage over this next month. While this little dance has been going on, we have been looking for ways in which we could bring both freedom and stability into our lives together, as opposed to picking one over the other. We may have felt pulled in two directions at times, with one side wanting to disappear into the wilderness screaming and the other side wanting to create something more meaningful in our lives. The trick has been to find some balance between the two.

Wednesday brings an afternoon Void of Course Moon that will then enter balancing Libra in the late evening. Libra will bring us some grace and harmony to finish out our work week. It’s a good time for working with negotiations and compromises in a fair way, restoring balance with a friend or family member, taking it easy, beautifying your home space, meditating, decorating, de-cluttering, throwing a dinner party, attending a lecture, visiting a museum, writing or editing, experimenting with fashion, indulging in luxury..you get the idea.

On Thursday we have a supportive transit between Mercury and Saturn that brings us a feeling of mental stability which can help us to see things in a more realistic and grounded way. We may find that our communication has a more serious tone to it than usual. We do need to be careful that we don’t get too caught up in too many details or start worrying about trivial things. Make sure to take breaks if you feel a bit overwhelmed and try to make a bit more time for everything.

Friday brings a late morning Void of Course and a sextile between Mercury and Uranus, which can make some feel mentally restless. But our thoughts become more inventive and original under this transit and we may find that we enjoy making connections, especially with people who bring something different and unique to the table.

Saturday brings us a late morning Moon in Scorpio, which brings us greater emotional depths and, for many, a need for some privacy and down time. Its a good energy for working on any projects that require some research though.

As Sunday rolls in we have a conjunction between the Sun and Neptune happening, which makes it a good time for being creative, romantic, spiritual and intuitive. We do need to keep in mind that even inspiration needs a bit of work to bring the results we are after. Our sense of self care can be blended with a sense of vision, giving us a “mission” in life and allowing us to really feel that we are at one with the Universe. This transit’s energy will only be around for a few days so use it while you can, make the most of it and make sure that you are careful to make a reality check before you jump straight in to any magical opportunities that your way.

WEEK AHEAD – Monday, February 15th through Sunday, February 21st

Happy Sunday everyone, and happy valentines day to all, both in a relationship and not. Its a day of love after all, for loving others and loving ourselves too x The skies planets are somewhat quiet for us today, but we do have the Moon in its 1st Quarter. Since the Moon is now getting brighter, moving towards its Full lunation, it means that we are also being challenged to create something in our lives. But the Quarter Moons can also be a bit tricky! Our hearts and minds tend to be on different pages at this time, so be careful with what it is you are trying to create. On a positive note, we do have the Moon in that pleasure loving sign of Taurus right now, bringing some emotional harmony our way. That tone will change by tomorrow though! So, let’s see what the rest of this week has in store for us!

Our Monday starts off with a Void of Course Moon mid-morning, before moving into mind buzzing Gemini in the late afternoon. In Gemini we want variety and our desires can be coloured by an instinctive curiosity. its a light hearted, curious, breezy energy but can also make us restless and fickle over these next couple of days too. Gemini is also known for bringing that trickster out in us too, so we may use humour to defuse situations that are too on the serious side. Some may feel the duality of the Twins with conflicting emotions, feeling two ways at once. its a good time for breaking up some of those habits we stick to and can bring a cycle of change for us. So try to put that to some use over the next couple of days. Tackle the start of the work week with little tasks that won’t bog you down in any one thing.

Tuesday is another quiet one for us, aside from that Gemini energy afoot. But as we enter Wednesday morning, the planet of love will be shifting into the emotionally cooler sign of Aquarius, where she will remain until mid March. It’s actually a good combo for exploring new activities and groups. Just keep in mind that Venus in Aquarius tends to operate on a more intellectual level of exploration rather than an emotionally nurturing one. But it does bring a friendly energy with it. Where relationship are concerned, we are drawn to themes of freedom, independence and unconventionality. We want our relationships to be on our own terms. Its a good energy for supporting the friendship side of of our love relationships too. After all, a good love relationship needs to start with good friendship as a foundation. For others it will be a time of experimentation with both social and love relationships. Later in the afternoon the Moon will go Void of Course before moving into Cancer in the early evening, bringing that instinct for home and comfort. So the next couple of days can bring out the homebody is us.

Things stay quiet for the next couple of days for us, aside from the effects of the Cancer Moon. So the focus will be on the home and family mainly. We can use it to retreat, refill the well so to speak and enriching our lives with those close ties we have. On Saturday the Sun moves house into compassionate Pisces. which is a great energy for things like poetry, music, meditating, developing our intuition and enjoying watery places. The Moon will be Void of Course early Saturday morning before moving into heart opening Leo right after it. Things makes a really good combo for romance for the weekend. We may also find that we are challenged to accomplish some short tasks in the early day, but then the energy softens up as we move into the evening, and remains with us into Sunday.

WEEK AHEAD – Monday, February 8th through Sunday, February 14th

  • Posted on February 7, 2016 at 7:30 am

valdiv1Happy Sunday everyone! I hope the first week of February started off well for you. We have an interesting combination of energies at work for us today. For a start, the Moon moved into Aquarius early this morning. bringing a nice social and friendly atmosphere. The Sun will be in a challenging square to Mars as well, which can bring some restless energy that may affect sleep. Adding to this is a harmonious sextile between Venus and Mars, which is a great combo for relationships. So we will have that crazy mix of unexpectedness, wanting to be on our own and wanting to be social all at once. Should be fun! Now let’s take a look at what the rest of this week has in store for us!

Monday morning begins with a Void of Course Moon at the same time that the Moon enters its New lunation in the afternoon. This Aquarius New Moon is asking us to go beyond what our normal boundaries and activities are. Its a supportive energy for new friendships, reconnecting with old friends and trying some new organizations or groups. The New Moon is also being challenged by Mars, so we need to pay attention to any behaviours and beliefs that are self defeating and hidden just below the surface. Its a New Moon that can help us to free ourselves from those old patterns. With this we also have a sextile between Venus and Chiron. a friendly little aspect that can give us the chance to harmonize those relationships that tend to be difficult or strained. It also helps us to make progress in any efforts we are making to heal ourselves and re-balance.

Tuesday sees the Moon move into Pisces just in time for the Mardi Gras/Fat Tuesday celebrations. It can set the tone for celebrations that are light hearted and somewhat indulgent. Its also the start of the Chinese New Year, adding more of that celebratory vibe to things. Pisces brings that dreamy energy to things, lightening the mood and adding a wistful charm to things.

On Wednesday Venus and Jupiter come together in a trine that tends to draw people to us who appreciate us and are willing to lend us support. We may experience situations where we feel like we are finally getting a break in life for the better too. Optimism tends to be contagious under this transit but we need to take care that we don’t over indulge too. Its a transit that can also bring a sense of complacency.

Thursday morning begins with a Void of Course Moon that moves into restless Aries as the work morning begins. It brings a phase of emotional directness and impulsiveness, one marked by forceful and powerful feelings. We tend to gravitate towards emotional beginnings, a fresh start, perhaps the establishment of new habit patterns – so make sure they’re good ones, because they’ll set the tone for you for quite some time to come! This can be an emotionally cathartic few days. Instead of sidling up to a problem, you can attack it head on.

Friday is a quiet one in the skies as many get ready for the Valentine’s Day weekend. With the effects of that Aries Moon it may be a good idea to take up some activities to burn off any restless energy.

The tone changes by mid-morning Saturday, when we first have a Void of Course Moon before it slips into earthy Taurus, where we are drawn to indulge in the little comforts in life. It makes a nice energy for couples who are celebrating this weekend, but also brings a nice vibe for spending time with loved ones and friends too. Mercury will be moving into Aquarius as well, signalling the end of Mercury’s trip through the shadow of its recent retrograde cycle. We should find that projects are easier to get moving in the days ahead of us. Mercury in Aquarius is where we feel a hunger for knowledge and our minds are more open to original thinking and new ideas.  We are more able to think outside of the box and can be more objective now.  This makes it the perfect time for anything that needs an analytical or sci-fi/techy approach.  Adding to this is a sextile between Mars and Jupiter, bringing high spirits, optimism and an increase in our energy levels. Definitely a good vibe for Saturday’s Valentine’s Day plans, as well as for singles to get out and mingle! Some of this energy will still be with us on Sunday, but with earthy Taurus helping to balance things a bit, it could be a good day for relaxing and enjoying the moment.
