What’s New This Month

July Blessings everyone! Yet another month has zipped right past us and we find ourselves at the midway point of the year. This month we have the 4th of July and Bastille Day to celebrate. July looks to be a smooth month for us astrologically, with just a couple of bumps around the 15th and 25th, We have Mars in Cancer for all of July, making it a good time for family activities and improving the body and the home. Venus will be turning retrograde towards the end of the month and this means that our entire value system will be going through a revamp and renovation cycle that will last into the start of September. Venus’s retrograde cycle will start off in Virgo, giving us another round of clearing out the clutter, physically, mentally and emotionally. Venus will then moved back into Leo where we can reconnect with heart and make sure it is engaging with our relationships and activity. Its about making sure you value the same things in your relationships, having heart to heart talks and having some fun. Some may find that change wll not work and will be focused on releasing the situations and people in our lives that are moving in a different direction.

The Monthly Specials for July include some Faery readings and the Midsummer’s Dream tarot reading, which focuses on what youre heart’s desire is. Many of you will be travelling now so I have a special reading just for you as well! There is also a Spiritual Jounrey and the Fool’s Journey readings for those who are looking to start off in a new direction. So be sure to stop by and have a look at the July specials!

I have a new addition to my site, a custom Jewellery Section where I will have my Barefoot Sandals and bracelets available to buy now.  So come check out the gallery and maybe treat your feet to something pretty!

Over in the Reiki/Energy Work section you can find Reiki and energy work to help give you a bit of a boost. You can find Reiki sessions, Chakra Healing and Attunements, Violet Flame healing, and the Avalon Crown of Success healing. Reiki is great for flushing out the old energies that may be lingering both in our own energetic bodies and the environment around us.

If Astrology is your cup of tea be sure to stop by my Astrology section where you can order some insightful Natal charts, Compatibility reports and Transit reports to see what will be affecting you in the months ahead.  Each persons Birth Chart can show how the positions of the planets and stars at the exact time of their birth can influence their life. WEEK AHEAD – Monday, June 29th through Sunday, July 5th

Happy Sunday everyone! We nearing the end of another month already and summer is in full swing, with students starting their summer vacations and people planning their summer holidays. Meanwhile, lots of crazy stuff is happening around the world so be careful on your travels! Today we have a quiet day in the skies, so let’s take a look at what this week has in store for us.

Monday starts off with a brief Void of Course Moon in the early morning hours. The Moon will then move into that upbeat sign of Sagittarius. So the next couple of days will have that touch of optimism to it. Sagittarius likes to look at the what is on the horizon and brings a bit of spontaneity with it. This lunar mood is very adventurous, active and restless for exploration. We want to experience life first hand. we want to get out doors, see the sights, connect with nature, go places we haven’t been before. We just need to be careful about being too risky. We also Venus in a trine with Uranus. This is a transit where liberation and spontaneity flood into our relationships, resources, finances, and those little pleasure we so enjoy! Basically, these are all great energies for trying something new and unusual in our lives.

Tuesday brings a fairly quiet day with a Void of Course Moon in the late evening. As we get the work day going on Wednesday the Moon will be moving into the more structured sign of Capricorn. This can help us take those adventurous plans from Sagittarius and create a more stable foundation for developing them. Venus will be in a conjunction with Jupiter as well, with both signs being in Leo. This is a magical transit where we have the chance to fulfilling our heart’s desires, and it is considered very lucky, perhaps a good time to pick up a lottery ticket or two. Lastly, we have a trine between the Sun and Neptune. Under this transit we find that our imagination is stimulated which is great for those who work in a creative field because they will find expressing themselves flows easily through their specific artistic outlet. It is a brief transit so enjoy this while it lasts and remember that before we make any changes that are based on what we feel is a permanent situation or condition, this is mainly a temporary influence with us now. Be careful not to make optimistic promises which we may not be able to fulfil once this time of optimism wears off.

Thursday is our Full Moon, or Thunder/Full Buck Moon for Native Americans. Its at this time that young bucks start to grow their antlers and thunderstorms become more frequent. This Full Moon is in Capricorn, where we become aware of the need for structure and planning ahead. We also instinctively are aware of the limitations of time. Remember that Full Moons are a time for releasing things too. So look at projects and situations that are unstable or just not working for you anymore and either let them go or set them aside for now so that you can focus on what is working. Also happening on Thursday is a square between Mar and the North Node. This is a transit that we can feel for a couple of weeks. It may seem as if the actions that we are taking to deal with our current situations and circumstances is at cross purposes to what we perceive as our higher purpose or our best direction on our life’s path. We may feel as though we are at odds with those around us now, or feel as if we are just in the wrong place at the wrong time. However, being forced to take a minor detour off the path we have chosen can often present us with opportunities to gather new information, resources and insights that could very well help us out in the long run, as opposed to just sticking to the main path. Mercury will join Uranus in a sextile later on Thursday. Under this transit our thoughts are inventive, original, and we may secretly enjoy shocking those around us with some of our more outrageous opinions and insights. It’s all in good fun though!

Friday brings a Void of Course Moon just before noon. By the time we have finished our lunch hours the Moon will have shifted into that emotionally cool sign of Aquarius. This is another transit where we feel drawn to the new and unusual. It will be with us through most of the weekend, so its a good time for planning on doing things you have wanted to try out. It’s great for social gatherings as well, and sets the perfect vibe for those 4th of July celebrations. Mercury will be busy today as well, having a square with Chiron and a sextile with Jupiter. The Mercury/Chiron aspect can have our mental focus feeling somewhat strained right now. Not a good time for making big decisions because we find it harder to be objective. Adding the Mercury/Jupiter aspect to this can help a bit because this aspect gives us loads of ideas and many ways to express them. This is a favourable influence for short trips, writing, teaching, studying, mailings, interviews, advertising and promotion, submitting applications and forms, and accurate observations.

Saturday is a quiet one n the skies that allows us to bask in the enjoyment of get togethers for the 4th of July celebrations. By Sunday afternoon we move into that mystical Pisces energy with the Moon, creative a dreamy, wistful and intuitive atmosphere. Mercury joins in again with a sextile to Venus, a beneficial aspect which brings us the possibility of benefiting from our social connections, a more open awareness, and harmonious communication. It doesn’t mean that it will all just fall into our laps though! We still need a bit of effort to make all of this happen. Mainly this will be a good time for peaceful and enjoyable activities before we dive into the new work week.

WEEK AHEAD – Monday, June 22nd through Sunday, June 28th

  • Posted on June 21, 2015 at 11:25 am

Summer Solstice Blessings all! Here we are in the third week of June already. Our solstice is marked by Venus entering her retrograde shadow today, as well as the Sun moving into Cancer and the Moon moving into Virgo. We will have a time of observation ahead regarding the areas that Venus rules, like love and money. The Sun’s move into Cancer turns our focus on the hearth and home, and those things that make us feel connected and stable. And the Virgo Moon will help us to take care of those busy little details and mundane tasks over the next 2 1/2 days. Let’s have a look at what’s in store for us in the week ahead.

Our work week starts off with a favourable trine between Jupiter and Uranus. The energy from this aspect is one of luck, opportunities and good fortune that can benefit us in many ways. But we need to be open to new opportunities and situations in order to tap into this energy. Some pleasant surprises could come from unexpected happenings. Its also a good time for promoting ideas, projects and yourselves.

Tuesday brings a challenging square between Mercury and retrograde Neptune, which can have the effect of making us feel mentally clouded, lethargic and somewhat confused. Its not a good time for focus and we can too easily get ourselves lost in trying to comprehend some things. We can experience some disillusionment or disappointment in our observations or communication with others.   This is an important time however, to break through old and rigid expectations that may be blocking our ability to see the bigger picture.

Wednesday morning starts with a Void of Course Moon that quickly moves into the sign of balancing Libra. This is a pampering, doting type of energy where we seek to draw out the bet in other when we are able to. This energy can help us see both sides of a situation but we need to take care that we don’t end up sitting on the fence and getting nowhere with negotiations. Mars joins the Sun in Cancer today as well, and will be there until the 8th of August. This isn’t the easiest placement for Mars because it dilutes and softens its sharp edginess. But we can use this energy to stand up for something we believe in and to assert ourselves when the need to protect and defend our “children” comes about. “Children” can be anything you have nurtured and feel protective about at this time. Lastly, we have Chiron turning Retrograde in Pisces. Many may feel the energies of this retrograde station for up to a week prior and after today. Chiron, also referred to as the “Wounded Healer” usually focuses on things like healing, health, and pain (spiritual, physical and psychological). So we will be reviewing those areas and situations in our lives during this retrograde period.

Thursday is a quiet day that gives us a chance to let all of those planetary energies filter through and settle a bit. On Friday we get the Moon moving into brooding Scorpio, where its all about intensity, passion and intimacy. We are motivated by the desire to get to the bottom of things, and we instinctively read between the lines under a Scorpio Moon. It can also be a time for healing as we destroy the roots of a disturbance in our life. We also have the Sun in a challenging square to the Lunar North Node, which can bring feelings of conflict between our sense of identity and purpose with the lessons we are needing to learn in our lives. It can manifest through situations where we feel we are being forced off course or forced to take a detour that is not as direct as our chosen road. That tends to make people feel uncomfortable but there is usually more to those detours than we realize.

Our weekend doesn’t have a lot going on in the skies so it would be a good time for sorting out those area where we feel the most unsettled, having some down time and doing things that relax our minds and feed our souls.

Please help me out with my new business/charity venture!  Five days are left for the Barefoot Sandal campaign and you can still donate a couple of bucks to the growing pot that will help get the resources I need to get this going 🙂

Happy Sunday everyone! We’ve reached the halfway point for June and later this afternoon the Moon will be moving into the ever curious sign of Gemini. We also have a conjunction between the Sun and Mars (also both in Gemini) which tends to give a person energy to burn. With the blend of all of these energies it can make for a productive next few days. So we start our week off with a burst of enthusiasm and motivation. That Gemini Lunar energy can make some of us moody, especial us fellow Gemini’s. And we need to keep our minds entertained for the next couple of days. Let’s see what else the week has in store for us.

Monday brings Saturn retrograde into the more stern sign of Scorpio. Saturn went retrograde back in March and won’t move forward again until August. With Saturn retrograde in Scorpio it makes the perfect time for introspection, examination and investigation of the inner realms. Its a time when what is hidden becomes exposed; skeletons in the closet, hidden agendas, secrets, information that has been buried deep and those oh so subtle tendencies. Its also the best time for taking pause and rethinking, reassessing our plans for the future. Remember all that curious Gemini energy is floating around too, which can have us digging quite deep. Be careful that you don’t go too far though or look for issues where there are none.

Tuesday afternoon brings a Void of Course Moon that will also be in its Full lunation. Before midnight the Full Moon will shift into the more peaceful sign of Cancer, giving us a much needed break from the chaos of all of that mental energy for a couple of days. Wednesday is a quiet one for us so we can take that day to regroup a bit if we need to.

On Thursday, messenger planet Mercury will be trine the Lunar North Node. The North Node is said to represent that which we are moving towards, the path we are currently walking in our lives, and the direction of our growth. Some refer to it as our path of Destiny. The Nodes themselves are not physical objects like the planets and asteroids, they are considered sensitive points in our Natal charts. The interaction with Mercury brings us a fresher awareness as well as a better ability to communicate that awareness. It is a beneficial resource which can help us to take a few more steps closer towards out life purpose. Just bear in mind that we also need to take action too. It won’t just fall into our laps but we will have a clearer idea of what to do.

Friday morning starts of with a Void of Course Moon before moving into Leo soon after. Its a great energy to start our weekend off with its social vibe and playful energy. This Moon brings a cheery vibe, making it easier to be lifted out of the doldrums. You might want to leave the day open, and let your spontaneous mischievous child inside lead the way. There’s a lure to colourful, special places like museums, food fairs and festivals and glamorous high end boutiques. It’s a mood heightened by spectacles like parades, costume parties and children’s theme parties. There’s delight in playing make-believe under this Moon, above the mundane of life.

Saturday is another quiet day and a good time to use that Leo energy to do some fun and enjoyable things with those you enjoy being with. Its a flirty energy we have with Leo too, so a bit of fun romance could be in the air! Sunday is the Summer Solstice, where we have that balance between night and day. It also means we start our countdown towards the days becoming shorter and the nights longer. Hard to think about that in the pek of summer! The Moon will be moving into the more practical sign of Virgo later in the afternoon, so you may want to focus on activities that involve planning and getting things ready for the coming week. The Sun will be waving farewell to Gemini and moving into Cancer, where we grow more conscious of our roots and the family patterns that continue to shape our lives. The point, however, is not to reinforce fearful habits by constructing barriers to the world. It is, rather, a reminder to give birth to ourselves, to connect the past and present and create a future appropriate for tomorrow instead of clinging to the limits of yesterday.

Barefoot Sandals and Jewellery Project

  • Posted on June 11, 2015 at 9:52 am

I’m a single Mum with some long term health issues and I’ve been working from home for several years now, doing a variety of jobs like freelance writing.  I love crafting though and wanted to start making things that I could sell (freelance writing doesn’t pay much and can be unsteady)

I was out in my garden a week ago and I love to be barefoot!  But my feet area bit discoloured and I sometimes feel embarrased by them.  So I decided to make some jewellery that can be worn to pretty them up 🙂  That’s where my Barefoot Sandals came in.  I made a set and posted them on Facebook to show friends and family.  And suddenly, they had a lot of interest.  So I made a couple of prototypes with what I had.

The problem is, I need some funding to help me get the supplies needed to get this little business going.  I’m not asking for a lot, just enough to buy supplies without having to dip into my money meant for bills.  I’ll be offering little gifts to everyone who helps out too.  What I want to eventually do is create jewellery for causes, like Breast Cancer Awareness and raise money for them.  Aside from the cost of buying supplies, the proceeds will go to whichever charity I am making them for.  But to do this I need to get things up and running.

WEEK AHEAD – Monday, June 8th through Sunday, June 14th

  • Posted on June 7, 2015 at 10:23 am

Happy Sunday everyone! I hope you have all been enjoying your weekend with this spate of nice weather we are having. It’s a quiet day in the skies for us today with nothing more than a Void of Course Moon happening. So, without further ado, let’s see what this coming week has in store for us!

Monday morning starts off with the Moon moving into that mystical sign of Pisces. We tend to shy away from reality under a Pisces Moon but our intuition also gets turned up a few notches. For the next couple of days our lives take on a kind of mystical quality at the emotional and instinctive levels. It’s a good energy for the arts, dance, film, photography, theatre and play. On the negative side it can be harder to deal with the harsher aspects of reality during these lunar days. We may escape with one more drink, or “check out” in front of the television. It’s easy to coast through the day, when you’re dreamy or “lost.” It helps to have some creative focus, in order not to flounder in the sign of the Fishes. We also have a sextile between the Sun and Jupiter happening late Monday evening. Under this transit our ideas and plans become infused with clarity and optimism, which may help to balance that fuzzier Pisces energy. We may feel a boost to our self esteem and confidence for the next day or so with this transit’s help.

Tuesday starts of with Mars sextile Uranus in the morning. When Mars mingles with Uranus our energy levels tend to be a bit higher and we feel more enthusiastic towards work, so it makes a good time for getting stuff done that we would otherwise feel less motivated to do. It also becomes a bit easier to manage and motivate others in a positive way so this energy is great for getting group projects planned, started, and worked on. Later in the evening the Moon will be going Void of Course.

Wednesday, just after Noon, the Moon moves from dreamy and diffused Pisces to fired up Aries. Some may actually feel this shift more than others. It can bring emotional vitality and the drive to act on our feelings. With the Moon in Aries we’re motivated by a strong desire to start fresh. We get this gut instinct to start something new, as well as the motivation to do so. Our pioneering impulses are strong as well under this influence, and we tend to feel more energetic, spontaneous, and enthusiastic. But we also run the risk of being tactless and impulsive because we don’t have the patience for all those little details that could get in the way of our progress. Also happening in the early afternoon is a sextile between Mercury and Venus. This vibe can be beneficial to the social aspect of our lives and can make communication more harmonious. It’s a good energy for negotiating agreements and contracts. Later in the evening the Sun and Uranus will also be in a sextile and this is a fun transit because we become more open to being spontaneous and others seem to appreciate our quirkiness a bit more.

Thursday comes the day many have been waiting for….Mercury turning direct! This is where we get to start utilizing and planning all of those ideas and changes that Mercury retrograde brought to light. Mercury is still in Gemini too so our minds are working twice as fast. Our brains become an information super highway!

Friday starts off with a very early morning Void of Course Moon which then moves into the comforting sign of Taurus in the afternoon. Taurus motivates us with a desire for serenity, security, peace, and comfort. The Moon is at her most sensual and constant in Taurus. Our basic impulses are to relax, resist change, and “stop to smell the roses”. Life slows down a little, and we get comfortable. We may also be inclined to stubbornness and materialism under this influence. It’s a good way to start off our weekend! Neptune will be turning Retrograde on Friday morning as well. We may feel a thicker concentration of Neptune energy for about a week prior and a week after this day. Things like having vivid dreams, an active imagination, feeling foggy headed and confused at times and then feel our intuition flowing freely at others all fall under this transits influence. Some may experience a turning point in a situation that has been unfolding over the past few months, especially instances that require us to surrender to something that is much greater than ourselves. Adding to this is a challenging square between Mars and Chiron. With Mars in a square with Chiron, the question of “What are you trying to hold in?” comes up. We want to hide under the duvet and wait for any issues to pass, hoping it will not see us and move on unnoticed. But by doing this, insisting on holding back in some way in our lives right now, we are only short-changing ourselves out of the opportunity for a breakthrough of some sort. Mars is aggressive use of energy, and Chiron is a breakthrough to the other side. So we are being challenged to develop new and unusual strategies for living.

Our weekend starts off with a square between the Sun and Chiron. When these two planets come together in a challenged position we tend to find our patience and confidence feels a bit strained as we feel a need to break free of chronic constraints. Motivation and self esteem can drop but remember we have that energy from the Sun and Uranus to help us out here too. So it won’t feel as bad as normal. Use this time to take a fresh approach to situations that have you feeling stuck. A new perspective is probably needed as well as a need to let go of how you think things “should be” or how they manifest in your life. Don’t put restraints on your outcomes or try to control every aspect of them now. It’s best to be open to getting what you want in a way you didn’t expect. You may also find other opportunities along the way that were not available to you with the route you were taking before.

On Sunday the Moon moves into Gemini where our basic instinct is to communicate, think, and share ideas. We are motivated by a desire for variety and by an instinctive curiosity. The Moon in Gemini is light-hearted, breezy, and curious, but it can also be restless and fickle. However, we tend to have a shorter span of attention with a Gemini Moon so its not a good energy for projects that require concentration and patience. The Sun will be conjunct Mars in the early evening and this transit tends to give us energy to burn. The problem is that this energy can be wither productive or volatile. We can be motivated as well as impulsive and need to find balance so we don’t end up being too erratic.
